  1. Trimmed also, but in this case I just dont mind, as I may never see a nicer copy!
  2. Things are great. It's starting to get hot though. Just the other day I saw two trees fighting over a dog. I hear that salt tablets can help curb the hallucinations (thumbs u
  3. Posting a few nice books in the marketplace over the next couple of nights...
  4. Greggy left me some nice feedback and wants me to reciprocate, but what's the point? All the great greggy things people say about him are absolutely true. I suspect he isnt even human...
  5. my guess is 10 is low, 1000 is high.... I personally know of many collectors sitting on incredible collections, that have never seen the public light of day (non cgc'd, etc)....and if I know of many, I am sure many know of many that I wouldn't...so, they are out there in some number, and we will continue to see them materialize...at what rate, that is the truly unanswerable question (thumbs u The age of the collector might be a factor. The original owners are beginning to die off, but maybe it will be when the generation after begind to go...say, a generation from now, there will be a fresh explosion! Wild guesswork of course - you'd know best what the average collector age might be!
  6. I agree, I believe this to be the rarest of the run, and one of the rarer Centaurs. One of my favorite covers - the variety of colors on this issue is crazy! Also, a surprisingly bloody and creepy cover - blood on the swords & spikes, plus the shadowy faces in the doorway. After these posts, it'll seem like this issue is downright common - at least among us old time Centaur collectors! I collect "women in peril" covers as a type set rather than any given publisher, but if anyone has a spare copy of this one for sale I'm your geek!
  7. Harry Lazarus There are also a handful of truevision romance issues, which are pretty cool as well.
  8. Such a penetrating character study, with the contrasting facial expressions!
  9. one of my nicest Larsons.... Beautiful book, Jon. Do you have #36 and #40 in similar shape?
  10. Long time since I added a Planet. Nicest VG I ever did see.
  11. Right now I know precisely how that alligator feels!
  12. Great Gustavson cover... he is really underrated. Does this book have Gustavson interiors as well? Do these Arrow books reprint Funny Pages stories, or are they all new material? I think there is a gustavson story, as well as a T Mills if I recall (though, as parker is quick to point out, my mental faculties are fading of late ) It's just Alzheimers - best to just forget about it.
  13. Thanks for taking the trouble, West. I wonder how many other complete or near complete runs are out there? Verzyl, Parker, any others?
  14. my guess is under 15K is a good deal, but it might go much higher ..or maybe gat a boxing ring - we could sell tickets!
  15. Thanks fro posting BZ! This artist is new to me - I find his sense of composition very interesting - not quite like anyone else.
  16. No. Here is an additional page from the story. Hmm - not Severin, not Sinnott...how about Buscema?
  17. I sympathise - nothing worse than thinking you are home safe only for someone to steal the rug out from under you - though in my case they also tend to steal the furniture, fixtures and fittings, then club me over the head.
