  1. Zips are awful, you must be thinking of World's Finest. um yeah, what he said...stay AWAY from zips...they "are" awful (how's that ) I'm not in Denmark, but something doesn't smell quite right. Someday, m'thinks Inspector Merryweather may have to investigate that title, ...and Pep 34. Nah - Zips are among the most overrated covers if you ask me! Anyone who spends oodles on those is in danger of becoming a laughing stock - in Denmark!
  2. Catman 15... I did try He did, but found me more trying...
  3. an' like, whose gonna win the cricket world cup?
  4. Is that the one that sold recently on Heritage? Yes, that's right. Apparently has a small color touch but cant find it.. Definitely one of the toughest issues - I had a low grade copy years ago and it's been at least ten years between copies!
  5. Greggy has the best eye for quality, pays like lightning, and actually seems grateful when he receives the books on time! I'm pretty sure he isnt human. Do martians collect comic books?
  6. Thanks Kelly - another little monkey off my back!
  7. Dr. Erroneous Whip-out, Ph.D. But you just can't go wrong with a good whip-out,and I'm expecting plenty of them from you next weekend.
  8. Very nice looking copy I thought. Saw it go up and thought of you, just couldnt remember if it was that number or not, but happily you snagged it before I had time to check your sig line! It's the thought that counts, right? (And no - before you ask, the thought was not lonely, Mr Snarkypants!)
  9. Cant help noting the resonances/correspondences between the two groups - especially the early Fox covers - easily the most vivid I've seen. Even in the scans they have tremendous presence. The eye holds them as if they were in hand.
  10. Oh my! This is such a wonderful thread and how I wish I could contribute more too! These scans really bring home to me how vivid the Larsons are. Quite extraordinary considering where they were stored. Thanks to all the posters and especially Jon and Steve for giving us a rounded sense of thsee books, and why they are so beloved. (...and thanks to Richard for reminding me I will never, ever have a copy of Mystic Comics #2 as nice as his is!)
  11. Out of context quote of the day (thumbs u I think it's "Yoda speak" I thought you were Yoda! Yoda not I am But the ears and wisdom you have!
  12. It's true, I am - in a hunky, masculine sort of a way! Ohhh - you meant the book?
  13. Out of context quote of the day (thumbs u I think it's "Yoda speak" I thought you were Yoda!
  14. That is a beauty. If I'm not mistaken, from a Bedrock sales thread? No, it was later - but you got the source right!
