  1. TOS39cgc85Q.jpg

I will be resubbing soon in hopes of a 6.5/7.0 blue label.

That is a nice looking copy even with the hole punched out. Does the qualified label really bother you? If it was my copy I think I would leave it as is. 2c

Well, if it comes back as a Blue Label 7.0, its "market" value doubles what its currently worth in a Green Label. I have no immediate designs to sell, but it would make it easier if I had to.

With that hold punched out...it wouldn't be graded 7.0. I think it would drop down to about a 5.0 or less. It still might be worth more than you paid for it but i'm not sure i'd mess with it.

What gives you the idea that CGC will give it a blue label on a resub. I would think they have a standard way of thinking when books have holes punched out of the cover or whole book.

It's still a gorgeous book and seemed like a great deal for the book (not that grade). ...

If it were me...I'd leave it alone or crack it out of the case....it's probably worth more raw...

  2. Just got these yesterday

BTW Im trying imgur instead of photobucket - imgur has a better user interface and is a lot more convenient. You can link to a smaller picture with out actually having to resize it.

I think you've posted in the wrong area. The Marketplace is elsewhere. meh

    Yup! :makepoint:

  3. Just back from CGC this week. Wish I had a better scanner...

Special thanks to Namisgr for the TOS 84, 85 and 95. He had 84 at 7.5 raw and also 95 at 7.5 raw. TOS 85 was listed for sale at 9.2 and came back 9.0.

All books were pressed by Joeypost...my first pressing experiment. I'll only do it in rare cases moving forward.

The TOS 60 was purchased from Crazy Ed's and he had it listed as 7.0...

    Win some...lose some...

  4. I've seen it go both ways with CGC.

A book you think should be a lower grade gets a slight bump in grade after submission....

    A book you feel is a 9.4 or 9.6 comes back as a 9.0.

I know a few RAW comic fans that feel CGC is too lenient on their grading standards. I don't feel that way. I feel they are pretty consistent and while in some cases I don't agree with the grade...it's better than how LCS's are all over the map with their grading.

I've found that most LCS are very generous with their grading. A VG somehow turns into a F or F+

I'd trust CGC standards over many other graders out there. Only one guy I know is very conservative that I trust.

  5. I've had mine for about 2 years but just found the club. It's tough to follow the Kirby recreation, but here goes...

    TOS39CGC.jpg

Welcome to the TOS club! You and I are back to back in the registry...very cool

Are you on the hunt for the whole run? I have some under copies that might be for sale once I complete the run all slabbed. :baiting:

  6. To Mark 1:

Thanx for giving me a chance to be what you needed at this time.

Thanx to all the CGCers that gave Mark 1 encouragement and sound advice.

Take care and hope to see you again and again!

    CAL starting to gather steam....

    Thanks CAL

The TOS 76 looks great and it was a perfect eBay experience. Thanks for the forum members for providing sound advice about you CAL. And to those who gave me mess for the thread.... :censored:lol
