Just got these yesterday
BTW Im trying imgur instead of photobucket - imgur has a better user interface and is a lot more convenient. You can link to a smaller picture with out actually having to resize it.
Was expecting 9.4 -will be for sale
Was expecting 9.4/9.6 -will be for sale
Was expecting 9.4/9.6 SUPER RARE WHITE LABEL - will be for sale
Was expecting a 9.6 Another SUPER RARE WHITE LABEL -not for sale. for now
I think you've posted in the wrong area. The Marketplace is elsewhere.
Yup!

I'm down to needing issues 1-8
There's still a few books I wouldn't mind upgrading on but I'm getting close!
I have a raw #8 in VG+ range for sale....

My favorite production flaw I own
It's a copy of Marvel FF 74 with a DC Superman 205 corner....top that oddball.
it came out before hulk vs batman and spiderman vs hulk....I'll call it a very early company crossover.....
Wow Collin..How could that happen? Or am I being gullible here?

Got this today. My customer couldnt pay for plumbing repairs and I got this in trade.
Nice!

I'm really happy about this book. IMO it presents much better than a 6.0 .
No chips, no writing, shiny clean staples, very bright, just a small stain mostly noticable on the BC.
Ahhh! I love this book and you got a sweet one! Looks way nicer than a 6.0.
I used to own a 2.0 raw years ago and I miss it so...
Enjoy the new book!

Just back from CGC this week. Wish I had a better scanner...
Special thanks to Namisgr for the TOS 84, 85 and 95. He had 84 at 7.5 raw and also 95 at 7.5 raw. TOS 85 was listed for sale at 9.2 and came back 9.0.
All books were pressed by Joeypost...my first pressing experiment. I'll only do it in rare cases moving forward.
The TOS 60 was purchased from Crazy Ed's and he had it listed as 7.0...
Win some...lose some...
Tales of Suspense 58 10/64 Marvel Comics Universal 6.0 OFF-WHITE
Tales of Suspense 60 12/64 Marvel Comics Universal 6.0 WHITE
Tales of Suspense 84 12/66 Marvel Comics Universal 9.0 WHITE
Tales of Suspense 85 1/67 Marvel Comics Universal 9.0 WHITE
Tales of Suspense 95 11/67 Marvel Comics Universal 8.5 WHITE
Tales of Suspense 97 1/68 Marvel Comics Universal 7.5 WHITE

Wow, any other silver gems?
There were 25 copies of X-Force #1, do they count?
Not to me....

I've seen it go both ways with CGC.
A book you think should be a lower grade gets a slight bump in grade after submission....
A book you feel is a 9.4 or 9.6 comes back as a 9.0.
I know a few RAW comic fans that feel CGC is too lenient on their grading standards. I don't feel that way. I feel they are pretty consistent and while in some cases I don't agree with the grade...it's better than how LCS's are all over the map with their grading.
I've found that most LCS are very generous with their grading. A VG somehow turns into a F or F+
I'd trust CGC standards over many other graders out there. Only one guy I know is very conservative that I trust.

My Pass
Welcome! Awesome 5.0. I have a 5.0 as well with OW PQ. Enjoy!

I've had mine for about 2 years but just found the club. It's tough to follow the Kirby recreation, but here goes...
Welcome to the TOS club! You and I are back to back in the registry...very cool
Are you on the hunt for the whole run? I have some under copies that might be for sale once I complete the run all slabbed.
-
do you know who has the original or if the original even exists?
I believe the guy said it was lost or perhaps buried in a collection

To Mark 1:
Thanx for giving me a chance to be what you needed at this time.
Thanx to all the CGCers that gave Mark 1 encouragement and sound advice.
Take care and hope to see you again and again!
CAL starting to gather steam....
Thanks CAL
The TOS 76 looks great and it was a perfect eBay experience. Thanks for the forum members for providing sound advice about you CAL. And to those who gave me mess for the thread....
Thanks again

To update this post...
I won the auction with CAL and he has been extremely nice. Thanks for confirming a stand up seller on this forum and on eBay.
I'm only protecting myself and hopefully helping others who might not have known CAL or his business.
Thanks CAL.

There's a new 9.6 on the market now. Looks waaay better than the 9.4 I sold.
Someone just made some bucks on that crack and press...I can't tell much difference except the books are identical with the writing by the number.

With that hold punched out...it wouldn't be graded 7.0. I think it would drop down to about a 5.0 or less. It still might be worth more than you paid for it but i'm not sure i'd mess with it.
What gives you the idea that CGC will give it a blue label on a resub. I would think they have a standard way of thinking when books have holes punched out of the cover or whole book.
It's still a gorgeous book and seemed like a great deal for the book (not that grade). ...
If it were me...I'd leave it alone or crack it out of the case....it's probably worth more raw...
