  1. I thought it was worth it. TTA #10 is not an easy book to find, let alone in grade.
  2. Sa-weet JIMs Like your pick on the TTA 10 ! -bc I remember that one, I was one of the underbidders towards the middle of the pack. Found this one on the boards maybe 6 weeks ago.
  3. Sweet book, bc! I haven't been on much lately, but did want to show these off now that they are actually in my possession. Can't remember if I showed you guys the JIMs or not...
  4. Not a great weekend, but at least I should be in town.
  5. I didn't even notice that one. And allegedly Wizard is adding a bunch of new cities after failing miserably in their last round of expansion...
  6. I doubt many are surprised, but it's cancelled again.
  7. This is my second Flash #94 in the wild, the first was in the US. It does make you wonder what foreign distribution of these looked like, and whether that might explain the scarcity of some of these.
  8. I actually found a Flash #94 DCU in a shop in Dublin, Ireland today. Was not expecting to see it!
  9. I hope we don't see Chicago getting "live music" along the lines of NO and Philly.
  10. The dates are posted, and I'm not surprised.
  11. Had a great transaction with Brent, and you can deal with him with confidence. His customer service is outstanding, and he will make sure you are satisfied and that the transaction was fair all the way around. I couldn't recommend him more highly!
  12. Have you got a confirmed date on the ACCC show?
  13. If this is an actual printing of this book, then you should be able to find reference to it from a legitimate source, or sales of such a book. Try to find slabbed copies with the silver logo that would demonstrate that it is a legitimate printing of the book. A few people have told you now that the silver logo book does not exist outside of a swapped cover of the 282 printing. You have even admitted that the cover of 282 is found inside your copy of 281 with the silver logo. The burden of proof would appear to be on you to demonstrate that it is anything other than what we have told you it is.
  14. Agreed, most of these shows will be light on comics. But 3-4 of them will be at least somewhat comic focused, which is a lot to have in a 4-6 week span at this time of year. If this Halloween show is going to be comic focused then it comes into a fairly saturated market. If this Halloween show is mostly horror themed (and they've said on FB that this show is replacing their Terror Expo) then it will compete against other such shows, one of which is in the same market. If they take that October 27-29 time slot, which I think is likely based on the Halloween theme and dates they previously announced as tentative for their main show, it may be tough for them to find an audience. The San Antonio crowd may be divided, or at the least have wallet fatigue from the other shows, and they'll be less likely to draw from surrounding cities. I'm scratching my head.
  15. This is a list of Sept-Oct Texas shows (from a post at the Rate that Comic Con FB group): Sep 1-3rd San Japan (San Antonio) Sep 9-10 Staple (Austin) Sep 15-17 Hub City Con (Lubbock) Sep 16-17 Dallas Comic Show Sept 23-24 Monster-Con (San Antonio) Sep 30-oct1st South Texas Collectors Expo (Laredo) Sept 29-October 1st Cult Classic Con (Bastrop) October 6-8th Realmscon (Corpus) October 7-8 Retropalooza (Arlington) October 21 Eckman's Toy Show (San Antonio) October 20-22 Fan Days (Dallas) October 27-29 Rockula (San Antonio) Oct 27-29 Oni-Con (Galveston) Dallas Fan Days will have comics in the room, it'd be worth a look on a Saturday or Sunday pass.
  16. No dates announced yet, but guessing it will be October 27-29 (which they announced as tentative dates when they had the Black Friday sale). If so, this would conflict with the Rockula horror show IN THE SAME CITY! It would also conflict with Wizard Oklahoma City. All this the weekend after Fan Expo in Irving. Seemingly every weekend in Sept-Oct is booked by a show in Texas. This seems like a recipe for disaster.
  17. Yes, the bolded part. The indicia is on the interior that would have been restapled to the bogus cover, so it isn't that helpful in determining the legitimacy of the cover.
  18. Take this please. Not sure how I missed this April batch!
