  1. I posted a question about onsite in the "Ask CGC" thread, so hopefully we will get an answer.
  2. Thanks! I'm pretty pumped. It's my first copy of #55 and I've wanted one for years.
  3. I'm curious to see if anyone actually makes any money at this show.
  4. The #87 is tough, and none of the WWs grow on trees. If you'd like the #82 DC bullet variant I've got a spare, shoot me a PM.
  5. Lack of onsite would really suck. It's already listed for Baltimore, so if they're doing it here I'd assume it would be listed.
  6. They have it on their list of events. No onsite though.
  7. If he is there today he will miss the show by over a month. That is just poor planning.
  8. Journey Into Mystery #62 CGC 5.0 OW -- Hulk prototype I've just upgraded this book, so I'd like to sell my undercopy to help replenish the bank account. This is one of the less common, and more desirable books from the pre-hero run of JIM, and aside from Fin Fang Foom this Hulk prototype may be one of the more famous monsters from this period. This is a very sharp copy for the grade, with decent page quality to boot. The main issue, as shown below, is that a chip let go from the lower corner of the front cover at some point after slabbing. That had happened prior to my purchase of the book 2-3 years ago and it has gotten no worse. I'd like to get $260 $239 shipped (to US addresses) for the book. International shipping is possible at cost minus a $10 credit as long as it is trackable. Let me know if you have any questions. Paypal, checks or MOs are welcome. Paypal only from international buyers. No returns as this is a slabbed book with plenty of photos.
  9. Well, I guess we have three known Superman #97 now. Apparently they grow on trees.
  10. It's a pleasure to be able to contribute in a small way. Thanks for posting the run photos!
  11. The folks I've talked to have said sales are pretty slow. Hopefully they'll have a strong Sunday. The BA #12 theft is all I've heard about this year, hopefully that's it.
  12. Any updates on pricing and deadline for the June opportunity?
  13. The stories I read said that the thief was armed, which should help ramp up the sentencing as well.
  14. I heard that a Batman Adventures #12 may have walked off, so be aware of someone trying to sell one.
  15. I managed to get a BA #36 from a boardie, but haven't seen one in the wild. I'm also missing WW #95, GL #70, and Superman Annual #8. I've got the Steel #7, and honestly can't remember anything specific about how I came across it. Everyone's mileage may vary a bit in terms of some of the common books, but for me Green Lantern #52 and Superboy #4-5 are so common I have stopped buying them. Same with Adventures of Superman #508 (I must have 3-4 doubles of this at the moment). Superboy #1 is pretty common, Steel #1 is pretty common, as is the Supergirl #1. Batman #507 and 509 are pretty common. And I agree, Robin #8 is pretty common and so is #9. Flash #92 can be gotten off of eBay any day of the week if you want to pay the price. Really any of the Terminal Velocity Flash issues are reasonably common, save the #100 for some reason (I have only found one in the wild and it was hacked). Power of Shazam #19 is fairly common. Certain collections are kind of funny that way. Like the Legacy books posted above, for example. The Catwoman is very difficult, but the Batman issues aren't that difficult. The Robin issues are less common, and the Detective issues are also less common in my experience. Seeing as how they were released as box sets, why are some issues from those sets not too bad while others are really hard? On the flip side, I have only found one Batman Adventures DCU in the wild. No DC vs. Marvel found in the wild. The 1996 are generally tougher, though there are some exceptions (at least in my area). I finally got a Sovereign Seven #1, but that one is not easy.
  16. Nice pickups! That is only the second copy of the Catwoman I have seen (besides the one I bought), and the Flash is difficult as well. The Batman & Robin is the only book there that is more frequently seen, but none there are what I would call easy.
