Wally is definitely my Flash, and I was thrilled to get a #110 last year. All that being said, historically #123 had a much bigger impact on the DCU. It rippled through everything DC did subsequently, and depending on how they rationalize Rebirth it may still be influencing what they're dong.

why do so many people get confused, (or in past cases extremely butt hurt) in this thread, whenever an actual discussion occurs. It is not the "books for cheerleading thread" If the thread is called, "books that are heating up", then people should discuss whether or not a book is heating up or not. When so many people post books which are clearly NOT heating up, but which they either want to heat up, or others have told them are going to heat up, they should not be surprised, or shocked, or offended, that people might actually question saying: "are you sure thats heating up?" "here are some sales that seem to point otherwise". Ultimately, its either a dont ask dont tell thread, where people only cheerlead for books to go up up and away, or its a discussion thread about what is heating up, and that involves both sides of the discussion, for the books that are mentioned. Lastly, i wasnt scrutinizing the book, though legitimately curious WHY it was brought up in this thread (where it clearly does not belong). If you don't want to respond to my posts, don't. Please don't edit my posts down to the point of using them as a launchpad for your next monologue. Thanks in advance. Chopping someone's post up like that and then using to make some "insightful" observation is just plain lame . As a clarification on internet rules: if someone makes multiple points in a post, how does someone responding know which points they're allowed to respond to?

So a book that has always sold for as much as it did the day it came out? I don't think that exists. Or is that a statement of books that have always remained constant or increased? Don't think that exists either. As for the original question, I don't know that any moderns have enough age for a test of their staying power. We're getting a sense of which Copper books have remained relevant for 30 years, but this took time.

Considering that the show is only three months away, I was hoping for more of a splash by this point as well.

May we ask why some celeb announcements can be made now, but the comic announcements apparently have to wait until January? Not trying to be difficult here, I'm genuinely curious.

Not to mention #106 is incredibly difficult in any sort of decent grade.

I am sure Jason Aaron, Freddie Williams, Kyle Strahm and other KC comic folks will also be there as well. I am looking forward to this one. Are you going to have a booth there? I'll definitely be attending. My brother and I may split a booth, but we haven't decided yet.

Agreed. #123 is of greater historical significance, but #139 is "sexier" as it has character gravitas. A character first appearance is an easy thing to drive value. It doesn't hurt that #139 has a great purple cover. In this market that makes an easy win for #139 (and arguably it was way undervalued before this run-up). But I'm in complete agreement with the argument that #123 is by far the more important book. I just wonder if that historical value is hurt by the loss of the semi-cohesive DCU as a result of this pair of reboots.

Are there dates that don't conflict anymore? seems like there's a big show somewhere every weekend. Wondercon is already announcing guests though, and they have some pretty good ones. It is certainly a lot more difficult to find dates that don't conflict with some other show. But conflicting with Wondercon is pretty serious in my eyes. A lot of these guests are going to be located on the west coast, and would they prefer to do a show that is close to home or way out in Dallas? It is going to have an impact. One of the rationales for the move was to get away from other large shows and attract more and bigger guests...

What happened to you? You turned from high grade Pre Hero guy, too High grade hero guy. Nice comic bro! ASM was my gateway drug into comics, and I've always loved Spidey. Now I'm in the process of upgrading my lower grade Ditkos into VF or slightly better keepers. But don't worry, I'm still hunting pre-hero books too!

I've been after an upgrade of this book for a while, and luckily won it on ComicConnect last night.

It's always tough to follow Ghost Town, but this is my latest arrival. The book looks great in hand, but these new slabs are tough to scan because they are so deep.

Bought a couple early X-men books from Tom. They came quickly and were packaged well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again!
