Anyone here win the JIM #46 CGC 9.0 last night? I was the underbidder at a level I didn't want to go to, but am still a bit bummed I didn't get it (even though I didn't seriously think I had a chance). I did score this upgrade from MCS (shameless plug, sales thread of several undercopies coming soon):

FYI, C2E2 got moved to December. Plenty of time to go to Wizard and then replenish the budget. -

Gorgeous! I just filled that gap in my run from Comiclink last night (somewhat less sexy but I'm very happy):

CGC Turn Around Times

Absolutely true. But I would think that the books going to CCS would be a much smaller percentage, so (usually) less of a ripple effect on TATs. -
CGC Turn Around Times

I think the in house signings have had a huge effect. After the J. Scott Campbell signing we had a modern take nearly 6 weeks (calendar days, I've stopped worrying about business days), and just a couple of weeks later a modern took 3 weeks. My guess was once the Campbell books were under control they could get back to normal subs and get those knocked out quicker. -

Can't imagine working on it pre-internet. Working on pre-hero TTA and TOS was bad enough, and those are reasonably common for PHM! Even with the internet some of these JIM books are still super difficult. I don't think I've ever seen any of the ones I am missing in person, and I have been digging boxes at shows since the late 80s.

Thanks! His covers are fantastic, I've always appreciated them but have really come to seek them out recently.

Figured I'd stop by and say hello. This is the first time I've logged in to the boards in probably 4-5 months. I've been following the posts in here, but have missed interacting with my PHM bretheren. I did pick up a book recently that I wanted to show off, so I figured that this was a good time to pop back in to the thread. This book got me to #1-18 on my run, down to 15 books left in my graded #1-82 run (14 if you consider my low grade raw #49).

Nice grabs on the WOF books guys! I was a weak underbidder on all of them, not nearly enough to actually affect the end result as it turned out. Very cool books.

It's not out of the question, I've gotten compensated and I know of at least one other case where slab-related damage was fully compensated.

Terrible news, he was a great guy and a passionate collector. We had talked on the boards a few times and then I got to meet him at a WW Chicago. He'd reached out to me about a year ago as he was selling some books, and though I couldn't afford them I wanted to help him out (and they were gorgeous books I am proud to own, especially having come from him). Last time I talked to him, which was a few months ago, he said he was doing a little better.

Fantastic! FYI, that Batman coloring book has very early Harley Quinn pages.
