Why does a company like this even have stock? They could buy up the outstanding shares they don't own for pennies and take the company private. Then they can do whatever they want.

Other than Chicago none of them have been comic conventions for some time.

And another... Fantastic Four Annual #6 about G/G+/VG- -- asking $45 + shipping SOLD Prices seem to be all over the map on this, and it is still a pretty hot book. I may not mind keeping it. Anyway, the photos tell the story. Clean 3/4" spine split up top, but otherwise the spine is actually in pretty good shape. Stains on the back cover don't penetrate any further than the last ad page, and do not affect the story. Originally purchased here on the boards a couple of years ago, but I can't remember the source.

Time for another oddball: Giant Size Creatures #1 F/F+ -- asking $25 + shipping Structurally a very solid copy. Squarebound spine looks pretty good too. Bumped corners. Worst of it is probably the light staining to the back cover. This does not show up inside, and the scan makes it look worse than it does in hand (at least in the lighting of my man cave).

House of Mystery #113 VF- -- asking $60 + shipping Love this cover. Looks every bit a VF+ or nicer, but there is an inconspicuous 1/2" tear on the back cover at the upper staple. I nearly missed it. It barely affects eye appeal, but does impact the technical grade. Another pretty book for the price.

Back from a few errands, time for a quick listing before I get back to work... House of Mystery #106 VF-/VF -- asking $65 + shipping SOLD Beautiful color and gloss, great pages. A few minor printers creases, light spine wear, and two tiny chips at the top of the back cover. Another really fresh book.

House of Mystery #99 Fine/Fine+ -- asking $45 + shipping Another beautiful copy brought down a notch or two by one defect. Great color & gloss, and super fresh pages. Main issue is the upper right corner, where a short edge tear has allowed a bit of creasing. Difficult copy to grade, depending on how much you ding the book for that corner.

Working from home today, so I should be able to list a few things as I take breaks from other stuff. House of Mystery #92 VG/F -- asking $35 + shipping Very solid and attractive copy let down by a couple of defects. Great color and gloss, and fresh pages. Chip at top of spine and top of back cover. At top spine of back cover that is a dirt smudge, no sign of it being a stain or penetrating to interior.

Ok, one more before I get to the 10 centers in a bit... House of Mystery #143 G -- asking $15 + shipping SOLD Solid and complete, but obvious wear. Cover is attached at both staples, centerfold attached at top only. 1/2" split at top of spine. No major issues like tape or staining, just a solid but worn copy.

House of Mystery #193 VG -- asking $9 + shipping Looks better, but a crease on the upper right corner of the front cover (across the body's feet) and a moisture ripple in the upper left corner. There is no staining associated with that ripple that I could see but it affects the gloss so it is unlikely to be fixable with a press. Great looking copy for the price.
