  1. I agree on Gerber. That is who another collector turned me on to years ago, and I never deviated.
  2. Agreed on UF4. Though not as popular, Captain Marvel #14 with Kamala's first cameo is also a modern Newsstand that would rank high on my list. Vengeance 1 is on my shortlist too.
  3. I don't disagree, though MJ has several sort of cameo situations which dilute 42.
  4. He's an incredible actor. I hope this film is salvaged. It has really gone through a lot of setbacks so far.
  5. I think those were only included by Don on the original art. Maybe the art page that sold was the way to go.
  6. I never understood why this book didn't get the same love as some of the other big Spidey keys. We have the first appearance of two major characters within the Spider-Man mythos with Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn. The red cover make it tough in high grade copies as well. I am thinking about buying a few high grade copies to hold but wanted to gain some perspective from others.
  7. Sorry if this has been covered, but I am curious if people are reading this character or if this was a product of the Dan Slott hype machine. If people are really into Bailey, what issues really stand out as a "must read"? How does Baily stack up against some of the other Spider-folk (Miles, Gwen, Silk, etc). Would like honest discussion and not pump and dump.
  8. I actually like the idea of focused mini-series. Often times it feels like a writer can't land the plane on a story arc in an ongoing series, but a mini-series creates some boundaries that seem to help. Tom King's Mister Miracle is one of my all-time favorites. The One Bad Day Batman run was also really good. I tend to be a Marvel guy, but these types of stories told in completion have really won me over in recent years.
  9. Super annoying in my area as some of the local collectors rip open the packs then leave them if it doesn't have whatever they were hoping to flip.
  10. If someone has a 9.8 copy in that price range, I am a buyer.
  11. Congrats. Still the most important book of a generation.
  12. Has anyone done a Top 10 type of list for modern newsstand grails?
