  1. I like you, but you seriously have the WORST taste in comic art. I couldn't disagree more with almost everything you post on the subject.
  2. That was a pretty damn nice cover. I bet it was at least in the $6K range.
  3. Nice try. Anyone who wants to see the covers from 116 and 117 - here's a LINK. Slightly spoilery I suppose in terms of who's alive in those issues. This information is publicly known. The writer, Kirkman accidentally leaked. No.
  4. I've sold most of my #1s and STILL have about 75 copies I'm sitting on, which are far beyond free at this point. No way in hell does this book hit $50 raw any time soon. As soon as the price moves, more will hit ebay. Guaranteed. So many people did the same thing I did. I'm not a big pre-order guy, but it was such a super-obvious quick flip based on the discounted advance order price, the creative team and the heat around Image.
  5. Eh...last summer they dipped to $1200 after the season. This summer they're dipping to $1800. Seems pretty strong to me.
  6. So cheap I'm going to ship it to him in a Cap'n Crunch cereal box. what do you expect when you start it at .99? because of you, gpa went down on that book. you and galehaut I run everything at .99. You let some stuff go cheap but you also set some record prices. It probably evens out to the same as putting up a bunch of bins but without the waiting.
  7. That's the same set with the mystery 'imperfections'. I'm not surprised he's not getting any takers with that description.
  8. That's nice, but what color will it be? I cant help but laugh at this. I would die for a Gold embossed NWM #1 Holofoil FTW (Wildcats #2 style)
  9. That's nice, but what color will it be?
  10. Bedlam #1 is seriously one of the best single issues I've ever read. Not sure if the floppies will ever pick up in value, especially since there are so damn many copies of #1 out there, but I'm always buying the Rossmo OA from the first arc. It's a thing of beauty in oversized B&W.
  11. who wants to start a pool to pick the actual release date for #6? I think they should cancel it and just release more colors of #1. I'm really looking forward to the 'Pale Nimbus White' and 'Royal Sapphire Pearl' variants. Maybe something loud like a fire engine red to really set off my kitchen.
  12. Once it's moved to back issues at 2x retail, I'd pretty much count that as sold out. Maybe not technically, but it's no longer available as a new book for cover price.
  13. Nonplayer #2 has become the stuff of myth and legend
  14. How many variants do you have? Got a few, but that isn't the crux of my view. I've got my bigboy pants on speculating in silver age keys. The moderns are just for z and giggles. But my commentary remains the same: silence is unprofessional. E.S. doesn't run Area 51, he's dealing with comic books... Even at the con with Kirkman. One sentence wouldn't have been too difficult to utter. Instead he got his panties all bunched up. Silence until there is something substantial to say is professional in my view. The fact is, although you're saying you'd like him to say _something_, the chances are whatever he could say wouldn't be good enough because the book would still be late and that's like the apocalypse for some speculators. He probably knows that no matter what he says, people will still complain, so why bother until he has something substantial to say? Here is my problem. I have purchased 3 copies of this comic every month. I order 95% of my books 2 months in advance. I paid Midtown Comics March 19 for issue 6, June 13 for issue 7, and July 10 for issue 8. I'm speculating that I paid for nothing This is no way reflects Midtown. They do great for me month after month They'll refund you if the issues are eventually cancelled. Of course these delays may drag out indefinitely, so it could take a while to get either your books or your money.
  15. People need thicker skin. Especially here I don't think it's about having thick skin or not. I'd guess he just couldn't be bothered with wildly_fanciful_statement anymore and I don't blame him. I'm pretty sure he's got better things to do. Things that apparently don't include writing Nowhere Men
  16. Signed...and the other set up there has undisclosed 'slight imperfections.' Wonderful.
  17. I keep waiting for a showdown, but it keeps drawing out. A showdown between which characters? The big Madder Red/First showdown happened at the beginning of issue #1. Madder is obviously Fillmore now and likely to stay that way for a very long time.
  18. I'm surprised yesterday's signed set looks to have sold outside of ebay. That's two sets that seem to have sold in the $400 range. And Harvey, I'd be the wizard, because I basically already have all the skills of a samurai/archer detective. And vampires suck.
  19. The first RIPD series is still tough to find but the film tanked. When that happens the value of the comics should suffer on the market. The same will happen to PP and others. I'm surprised WD keys haven't seen value decreases based on weak seasons. Which Walking Dead seson(s) tanked? You may think some of them were weak (and I agree to an extent), but the general public certainly didn't. WD's ratings are the cable TV equivalent of Titanic's box office gross at this point.
  20. Nope. There will be some blue labels coming back from CGC for sure.
  21. Sold all my Panzerfausts! Blew all the money on Panzerfaust art...
  22. That was a very early promo image. I think that guy was originally supposed to be the cover artist.
  23. Wachers are nice, but if they don't bid, then you end up with results like this. Dead. So far there are two bidders on it, with hopefully more to jump in at the end..... I will be happy if my run #1-5 (1st) hits the same price the last one sold for ($51). It looks like #1 is still a $20 - $25 book as well. Crazy since graded 9.8s are like $30 at this point. Hope your auction does well! I still like the book a lot and hope they can get it back on track.
