  1. Wachers are nice, but if they don't bid, then you end up with results like this. Dead.
  2. Non-envelope sets are worthless. Btw, I have an envelope available for $500 if anyone is looking.
  3. Yeah, the way he's drawn he's a dead ringer for Sayid, circa 2005. Might be a little too old at this point.
  4. Damn, dude. I want your LCS.
  5. Frank should have the last 25 tomorrow. I think he said he was doing 25 sat and 25 sun. I was 2nd to the last to get the set. It's ok, rice, you can post them FS on CGC too. We won't yell at you for flipping (just for getting them signed without Sig Series).
  6. Ouch - that's what happens when the baseball card crowd buys comics. GLOD
  7. I sold 3 9.8 SS copies for $150 each right after ECCC (the first was a no reserve auction, the 2nd and 3rd were second chance offers), which I think was the pre-announcement high for the book.
  8. I love King but hate the vast majority of network tv so I'm skipping this one. The book had great characters, a good setup and a really dopey resolution.
  9. I'm with you guys - I still like this book quite a bit and will continue to pick up new issues as long as they're being published.
  10. They 'own' nothing, but they get a big chunk of the comic sales. Image isn't a charity.
  11. There were TONS of these in Philly and like Mike said, they were still available on Sunday. Not rare at all. If you're concerned about the book's value, sell now.
  12. You can't really go wrong in the 200 range for a 9.8. It's ltd to 400 and they were mixed in with dealer orders, so they're scattered (i.e. nobody has a stack of 50 waiting to plop them on ebay). Other scarce Spawn variants have a history of holding value, so I don't see why this one wouldn't.
  13. Err...that's down from the $600 range a few months ago
  14. the bubble has burst? Last year they dipped to $1200 in the spring/summer.
  15. Yep, sales seem to be steady enough at the 12Kish level to keep the series going and that's all I care about. Bedlam is easily my favorite read right now - I find it much more enjoyable than the more hyped series (Saga, East of West, etc.).
  16. Awesome buyer! We've had a few good transactions and Justin is just a great guy to talk to in general.
  17. I actually think that matters a ton and should help these keep some value. The book itself is one of the most limited Walking Dead variants. There are 100 of them for the Hero Initiative and maybe some comp copies, but it's probably more limited than the red foil Lucille variant. I'm not saying they're going to go for a reasonable price - the charity effect will be in full force, but buyers won't be throwing money away (which they would be if these were 109s IMO).
  18. The Crime SuspenseStories 22 is a much, much safer bet for future resale value. If you just want one for your collection though, CSS22 will probably be easier to replace. Tough choice. BTW, a lot of these suck. I wouldn't buy a weak one just to have a copy.
  19. Everyone (including myself) who has given Saga a try pretty much hated it. I don't personally know anyone who reads it or tried and liked it. IMO, Saga can turn off a whole bunch of potential readers with its content. EoW on the other hand doesn't have anything to really turn someone off. Nah, the assassination of the president, demonic children piling bodies up by the thousands and a completely incoherent story line could never turn anybody off. Ok, I'm just trolling (mostly).
  20. None of these books are RRPs - that's basically just slang for 'Retailer Incentive' at this point (which is probably what it should say). RRP was specific to DC's Retailer Roundtable program (for example, Batman 608 and Fables 6 are real RRPs, Saga 1 is not).
  21. The price seems reasonable for the first CGC 9.8 copy of a currently non-existant book to hit the market. I'd expect it to settle below $300 once the real first wave of slabs floods ebay, but this one should be fun to watch.
  22. Yeah, as much as I dislike Adlard, the 106 wraparound is killer and I seriously thought about putting a bid on it.
  23. That's mostly because I sold out. I miss them sometimes, but definitely prefer rolling naked in the piles of money.
  24. None announced, but you know it's going to happen.
  25. . If I were going to sell it, I would sell it while it's still 'the only piece of Saga OA in existence.' That's its main selling point, since it's not on the same level as any of Fiona's covers, IMO (no offense, Jimmy - nice score landing it).
