  1. I was happily reading it for a good while after the flippers had moved on - I'm pretty sure that is what most of us were talking about, not how much cash was won or lost.

    +1

Im disappointed that Bedlam is MIA because it was a damn good story, not because I have $20 worth of #1s in a short box somewhere. I actually have a nice stash of OA from issue #1 and I don't regret any of those purchases because it's some of the coolest art in my collection.

  2. I have no stake in this character, but as an outside observer, my opinion is that those cameos both suck. They're basically on par with the Doomsday's fist and Venom's arm cameos. I don't think a second print cover changes that.

I'd go with whatever full appearance came first after those cameos as the book to own.

  3. The market has spoken, books are in demand....

Haters gonna hate, personally I care less, I'm gonna play the game and see how it plays out. No need to hate on the books or the game, if i can flip, you bet i will, anyone with a brain would if they had the opportunity.

Oh yeah, people are 'hating' when they point out that Donatello doesn't die in the 'death of Donatello' issue. Obviously you should flip them if you speculated on them. Just do it fast.

  4. final arc of this volume ends at 50 if IDW site is right. Which means this is going to keep climbing till the next volume.

No it's going to keep climbing until everyone sees Donatello on life support and realizes his 'death' was just an injury. Then it goes back to cover price.

And your thoughts on the OA? Does it double or triple as previously mentioned?

I'd sell now if you're trying to capitalize on the hype. Or just keep them because it's a cool scene. I don't think there's a ton of future upside there given that preview page.

  5. Ha! Something told me to hold off on buying it. Sucks to be those people who paid $100+.

Really sucks for whoever shelled out $700 for the final splash page of original art. Good for Cory Smith, though.

I completely disagree, no matter what happens in future issues he DIED in this issue. It was confirmed by the character Angel Bridge in the dialogue, not to mention every single news outlet that has printed a story about the events. Turtles die in real life when their shells are compromised, and that's exactly what Bebop and Rocksteady did to Donny. Will a serum/mutagen/ooze bring him back?..... probably.

Wolverine will be back, but that doesn't mean he didn't die in Death of Wolverine 4

This will be an iconic panel forever in my opinion. $700 was a steal.

    lol

If the character isn't dead in the preview of the next issue, it isn't a death and no one will remember it when the series ends 5 issues later. Well, no one besides the people who end up getting stuck with a pile of books they overpaid for.

  6. The RRP has a 90 day GPA of $310.00 after a high of $650.00 (!!!) in 2013.

It has been all downhill since release.

While other books I consider to be vastly inferior to this one skyrocket, EoW #1's average less than $40.00 a pop.

    Crazy world we live in.

Or maybe I'm the crazy one, lol .

#1 definitely got varianted (I know, I just made that word up) to death, but I like the RRP long term. The series has steady readership over 20K at issue 17. That's pretty strong in today's market.

  7. Well I believe Priority Mail has $50-100 in automatically included insurance coverage now. Not sure how they treat a package that says 'delivered' but never showed though. Worth putting a claim in to find out.

Did you track down the seller?
