  1. Ok boys and girls I'll try and get a picture of Elvira with the House of Mystery #11 for ya Should be seeing her Saturday!
  2. I remember a trade but not a hard cover. Doesn't mean it didn't happen though.
  3. Huh! That's cool. Never seen that at my Toys R Us!
  4. Opened a Brandon Choi box that I got in the mail this evening. All the books look awesome except for two the paper doll cover and the create your own cover both have printer marks which seem to have been pretty common. Think I'll send in the Gen-et Jackson for grading....
  5. That's a good a thing to call it as any.... So I've got my own submission ready to go with about 7 Stevens books in it but I don't think I'm going to send it anytime soon just because I'm still waiting on 7 books I sent out at Heroes. When they get back I'll send these.
  6. Well apparently Sl4ppy has one or two. Geez.....
  7. Where Cliff walks in on the photo-shoot. If I was at home I would scan one but alas I work work work...
  8. Yeah, I'm on to them. I only bought a handful of them. If I see another one I really like I will get it but at this point I think I'm over the new IDW covers. The only outrageous one I got was 3 copies of the Jetpack variant of #2 because that scene is just gorgeous.
  9. Oh see you are a tricky one. You can't tell it's any different from the domestic version by the cover.
  10. I dunno, seem like as few as three years ago you could log on to ebay and depending on how you searched you could find about 3 of each edition at any time. I managed to find one that I didn't have so I have a Choi on the way now
  11. Ok! I got the Elvira House of Mystery in the mail and it looks pretty decent (maybe a 9.4). Should be in Elvira's hands 1 week from today and then off to CGC!
  12. So is anyone else noticing the lack of the box sets these days? I looked through Ebay the other day and only found 3, 2 Jim Lee and 1 Mike Choi. Haven't seen a red box available in a long time either....
  13. Hey, you should have done that 9.4 trade...I stuck it up on the Bay and got $26 out of it ::
  14. So let me ask something about double covers. When these are being produced, does that mean they get to the end of the production and they run out of covers before they run out of interiors being stapled to them? Just curious.
  15. And then a hand drawn sketch falls out from between the pages! Sorry, that's my fantasy. and then a map to a hidden vault with all the early years artwork for comics across the industry falls out with the combination on the back. Come on, dream big
  16. Well the last one went so well I thought I would give it another shot....anyone that might be interested in doing a trade for this lovely Enchantress let me know
  17. Oh, I don't know....I could think of a few ways to make it work. I kind of like the idea of a modern day Rocketeer. It's not like you see people with jetpacks every day and the ones that you do see certainly don't use them like that!
  18. Most of them are yes, but I realized some of the stuff like the early work or some of the non-comic or traditional stuff we think of might be out there as well...
  19. This brings up a good question. If something like that had been given to you as a wedding gift would you keep it to yourself or share it with the world? The person has at least put it on CAF and in the sketchbook so to some extent it has been shared, but if I was someone at Marvel looking to do a "Retro" like DC has been doing lately THIS would be the cover I wanted. Make it a one-shot or a lost issue or even a time machine issue. That cover demands a story be written to go inside and be published. Would you be willing to let it be published or would you keep it to yourself?
