Yeah, I'm not too sure how long I'll keep this up with the new series but I've enjoyed seeing the resurgence of Dave's art as of late.

The breaks on mine are not as pronounced but like was said this is a stiff stock. That's why I'd like to see how it works on somebody else's before I try to get mine pressed!

Only one 9.8? But seriously, did you snag that four-pack of Dave books off of E-Bay the other night? Actually look close there are two 9.8's Nope, most of these came from my personal collection I've been putting together over the years except for the Crossfire and the Airboy which I picked up right here on these boards!

Did anyone else hear that Dave's mother passed away a few days after the El Capitan showing of the Rocketeer? I was reading Adam Hughes' deviant art update and he mentioned that he spoke with her that night and then just a matter of days later she passed away. Truly sad.

Yeah, I went back and looked at all of them yesterday afternoon. I always forget when they have that thing... Couple of things that would have been nice but nothing that just jumped out at me.

The only complaint I can make is that I didn't have enough money to get that book in the sale too! Great cover! I got my Airboy # 5 and Crossfire # 12 today as well. :thumbsup:

It really is amazing when you think about all the Dave art out there....who might be lucky enough to have it, do they even know what they have? Where did they get it, what's the story behind it? Lot's of really cool finds I bet! Wish one of them was mine

Just got me 3 copies of the Jetpack variant. If they are as nice as everyone else has said, I'll be forwarding them to CGC shortly thereafter.

Hey, I'm all about a celebration! I've just been marking off some pretty nice books off of the want list at the same time as a couple of my own books have found their way to new homes so these boards have made my collection self-sustaining as of late! :thumbsup:

I'll be glad to see them! I was going to bid on that book but had to work late and didn't make it home in time to log on and put the beat down on everybody Mine only came back 9.2 so I wouldn't mind an upgrade but at least I have a slabbed copy I suppose.

The titles. 5 in all related to Dave finally made it back into my hands. Sent April 18th and returned June 13th (I think they might be a bit behind....) Crossfire 9.2 Jonny Quest #5 9.4 DNAgents 9.4 Vanguard Illustrated 9.6 Alien Worlds #4 9.8 I plan on keeping them all at least until I can find higher grade copies.

Know what you mean. I got a bunch of Dave books back today. Can't for the life of me figure the difference between the Alien World 9.8 and the Vanguard Illustrated 9.6
