I thought it had to be all black and white which the cover certainly isn't but who knows....

epic!!!! we may hit defcon1 before expected!
and yea Raph, the thread definitely did explode in the last two days, awesome stuff guys!
yesterday before i posted the thread had 600 less views! its a win for spider-men everywhere!
id really love to get Mark Brooks, ive tried emailing but i keep getting the busy response
Mark STAYS busy, even at conventions it seems. He knocks out awesome convention sketches but just a handful each time. I need to move him up the list to see if I can get on his sketch list in time to actually get something from him sometime....

So who has a DNAgents worthy of at least 9.6 or better they want to sell and how much? Crossfire? Raw or slabbed I suppose...

Thanks for the info guys, that will probably keep me from ordering one myself then.
-
That's awesome! I love when stuff I never have seen before comes along!
-
All I saw was a CGC 9.8 Mr. Moster and a 9.8 Pacific Presents #2, if there was original art of any kind I totally missed it.
-
So who picked up the Dave Stevens covers in the latest ComicLink auction? I wanted to but wasn't home to bid either night
-
I have been! Somebody always gets there before me I guess.
-
So who's hording the DNAgents? I have one copy that I doubt is CGC worthy and never see them in the LCS or conventions. Anyone have an idea what kind of print run there was?
-
I bet it was that 3-D #16 out of Georgia I had seen. I thought really hard about it, probably should have gotten it. My loss is your gain!

What is it? Got the dreaded red X....

I don't blame them a bit then. Still, it looks like with the exposure they get off of ebay currently they could get more out of the items on their own without having to pay the auction house fees or the art broker commissions which will be more than ebay's fees more often than not. Plus, some of those auction houses will list it on ebay anyway for more exposure.

is there any concensious as to the rarest? not graded, just overall hardest to find
One of my personal grails. Only 50 of these were made for Dragon-Con 1999. Collaboration between William Stout and Dave Stevens.
There are also the Bettie Page trading cards by Topps that were never published.
Any personal sketches or OA trumps almost anything. IMHO
I could kick myself for not getting one of those. I was there that year.

If the estate has any original art remaining they sure are taking their time dispersing it. I've seen stuff from when he was taking classes doing oil paintings come from the estate, but I have yet to see an OA page of any sort come from them on ebay. If I were a betting man I would say they probably went to an auction house OR they want to only sell a certain amount each year in order to maintain the estate. Hard to say really unless the caretaker of the estate just lets us know.

Whoever that is knows it is rare and knows one day somebody will step up and actually pay that.
-
and here we go.

I'm very envious! Great collection!
-
Beautimus even!
-
Good point.

I agree, the OA looks better but I still wouldn't kick that statue out of my room...
-
Not sure about that one...if you do I think it comes back as qualified because of the un-witnessed signature and numbered on the inside cover. Cool find though!
-
I think there still are...

Well it certainly has gotten quiet in here! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
Picked up most of the mainstream books out there.
Looking for the "OMG! Where did he find that?" stuff now.
I need to hit a couple of shows so I can find some of those myself!

What's the chances of that? With the All-Star Wonder Woman and all the covers he already does...
