  1. I don't remember where I saw it but some make up from back then had radium in it.So women would, like you know. Glow!
  2. Found it! In only the 4th box I looked in.Really nice copy that could benefit from a press.
  3. I picked up a nice copy of this in the original envelope when I was chasing a run of King Comics. If I can find which box it's hiding in I'll post a scan.
  4. While restoration does carry some negative thoughts here in comic book land, and I completely understand both sides,it has different outcomes in different lines of collecting.Furniture ? Big no no for refinishing but sometimes damaged has to be fixed.Autos ? Original or resto-mod. Survivor or 100 point show car ? Each has a place. Coins? NO! Now,with that out of the way,I have a question.I have a full set of 1941 salesman samples of wall calanders for advertising.Probably about 24 x 30 inches, set of 6 with envelope.each one illustrated by a different artist. One is GGA by Zoe Mozart.Problem is they all have nail holes where they were on a wall. Some have a couple.others have more. Also the envelope needs de-acidified(no,I don't have them stored together). As is they arn't worth a lot.My question, does anyone have a suggestion on someone you know who could do the restoration work and maybe an estimation, just a ballpark figure. I guess you could call this comic related as they are illustrated so please forgive me if it doesn't properly fit but I figured with the depth of knowledge here it would be the best place to ask. Thanks in advance!
  5. Always thought it would be cool to have a chrome donkey to sit on my desk at work.Probably only 1 or 2 would actually get it. Anyway.Hope JD signs back on and can't wait for it to return.
  6. I hear you.Wish I had that kind of access.Closest LCS is 50 miles away.Thirty years ago in my single life I made the trip 2 or 3 times a week. Of course if I did have that access I'd probably be a lot poorer now.
  7. I like your style of finding but from where I live that way is just nor feasible.Maybe 3 or 4 collectors in a 50 mile radius from me.If not for Ebay I would probably only own a couple hundred comics.I've got nearly that many DS books & covers. Not all came from Ebay but the majority did.Necessary evil & all that.
  8. I've thought about doing the same thing with some interior pages by Dave Stevens that don't have his art on the cover.Keeping some NM copies of course.
  9. take 1 each on the Gladstone EC reprints @ 1/2 off but not the war books.

  12. I happen to like Pip.I have been a Starlin fan since I have been reading the original run from back in the 1970's.Have all the original Him/Warlock books along with Captain Marvel. Also read the Eternals when Kirby did it.Only my opinion, which I am entitled to just as are you yours. I still say it's a sub-par movie.Rotten Tomatoes are more fun for throwing anyway.
  13. Good thing Pip showed up.Otherwise this movie would have been completely useless.
  14. Too true.I just found 2 Treasuries I forgot I had.
  15. Shhhhhhh! I've been snagging the DH book cheap for awhile now.
  16. I recommend Troll Lords,Gizmo & Cobra. From a time long forgotten known as "Comics Are Fun"!
  17. I just tried to watch this and I could only get 26 minutes in.
