  1. The link in your post takes me to a page that says it is a 9.2 and only sold for $120 and the ad says nothing about "not a professional grader, near mint not guaranteed so no refund". Although the title matches the wording in the link you provided.
  2. But, by using Chuck's "price them like it is the future", it might not be a bad deal to do.
  3. This may just be the greatest advice ever given on these boards or anywhere else!
  4. I bet he even has a counterfeit Stan Lee signature book.
  5. You mean that ISN'T a mask???????
  6. The prices I posted are CGC graded prices. He is charging those prices on RAW books.
  7. is this list for real ?? wow i almost think it is some kind of joke..... someone should break down the worst rip-offs from the list and or the actual values of some of these "stratospheric high comics book" Taking Chuck's grades, where possible, I come up with a very different value. I used GPA 90 day values for most books, except a couple I had to use 12 month average. The All Star 18 did not have a grade listed by Chuck, so, I used the 8.5 GPA value. I did not price the McFarlane art or the Superman certificate. The ASM 129 did not have a listing with only Conway's signature, so, I used the Romita/Conway signature value.
  8. 9 weeks still sitting at received. 12 weeks at received. Just received an e-mail that 2 books were rejected for pressing due to embossed covers. I figured this may happen, but, PROGRESS!!! Scheduled for grading - 6/19

  10. I'd rather drive 25 miles to get my stuff than have it stolen or not delivered at all.
  11. My Christmas raffle prize, sent using FedEx, went missing. Called in and reported. Guy on the phone says driver left it at door. Case closed. Called and re-opened case, now driver says he gave it to a man at the door. Impossible, as I was at work and the only one home was my mother. Called again and they said there was nothing they can do. I will never use FedEx again. They are the worst delivery service Just because the box went missing, doesn't mean they actually delivered it to the correct address. I hope the box is recovered, but, I doubt you'll get much help out of FedEx.
  12. If you never have worked on something like this, be very careful. Those old capacitors can hold a big charge that can injure or kill. You are dealing with a lot higher voltages than the electronics today use. If you have no electronics experience, you may want to find someone who works on these to do it.
  13. Check those power supply capacitors. They can cause a lot of damage when they go and being that old, they probably are ready. Had an issue with a 1961 Fender Bassman Amp, took out the output transformer when they went.
  14. We still have "received". My books have been sitting at received for 11 weeks now, waiting for CCS to press them.
  15. Not positive, but, that might be illegal in many municipalities.
  16. Do you have pictures of the slab before you sent it to the buyer or from whomever you bought it from? Comparing these pics from the buyer to older pics can give you a better idea if it was tampered with.
  17. Why should we trust his grading/restoration check instead of CGC? Everyone makes mistakes, but, I will trust CGC over this guy every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
  18. He could probably still submit it at a con. It would save on postage one way.
  19. Could also come back with a notation of "Manufacturing Error - Pages Stuck Together"
  20. It will come back a 10, but, might have some staining
