  1. If it got a 9.0, it most likely did correct most of the issues. Pressing won't help the color breaking stuff, but, the bends should have come out.
  2. SWAG (Scientific Wild *** Guesses, for anyone that doesn't know) Grades in.
  3. What rules of engagement? Look at books, grades books, submit grades. I would hope that is how it is done, if not, I've been doing it wrong all these years.
  4. Don't think it was staple wear, just gloss from the cover. And the scuffs and scratches were on the case.
  5. I am also going to donate this to the Booby prize winner. Winner to be determined by @thirdgreenham and @sckao. They need all the help they can get, just hope I don't win it Per rule - 6.) Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, and likely many, many more. From what we've seen in previous years, folks have been extremely generous and most people that enter will win a prize. Also,a booby prize will be given for last place. Last place is defined as the person who has participated in all the rounds and has the lowest score. You can not sign up, do nothing and win the booby prize. 6. OK, dug thru my trash stash. Lot of 37 #1 issues, from Bronze to Modern. More to be added if I find anymore. This may start getting expensive for International Shipping, but, if any International collectors want/win, I will try my best.
  7. Oh, I agree with you. Just throwing out another possibility, slim as it was. No one, in their right mind, would defend Tonfulle unless he was one or the other. It isn't possible to be that dense after all the evidence provided.
  8. Especially with all the signs pointing to them being forgeries. Or maybe he is a big customer of Tonfulle and is trying to justify his purchases. Has to be one or the other.
  9. This is the year I win it. My Psychic Hotline counselor told me so. I'm in!!!
  10. The guy that wrote the sayings on the tree was probably the only realistic character on the show.
  11. I have a Lady Death Las Vegas Convention edition that has a jewel on the cover. Lady Death: Dark Millennium 1/C Las Vegas Comic Expo Edition; Night Edition; Limited to 88 print run; Cover enhanced with Swarovski crystals by Francisca Pulida; Coffin Comics
  12. @ninjarobert CGC will not grade comics with jewels glued onto the cover. The would not fit in the slab and would probably scratch the inside of it if it did.
  13. I submitted some books last year. When I got the invoice there was an additional charge for $35 (if I remember right). Called and asked about it. They said it was from a previous submission that was not charged properly. I pulled out my old invoice and looked. They charged the correct fees. They could not tell me what the charge was for, but, that I had to pay it. Told them what I thought, but, they got their money. No explanation ever.
  14. So a COA is good enough to establish a pedigree, but, not for a Signature?
  15. You should post links to the auction and comments, if you can.
  16. I felt the same way with my Killing Joke set. Wasn't paying attention last year and got beat out. Broke my streak that went from 2012 to 2017. Got it back for 2019.
  17. Do you think that the 20,000th book was really a 9.8? What if it was really a 6.0. Would they hold off until they had a 9.8 to say it is the 20,000th? Better advertising for them as a 9.8 than a 6.0 would be. Just wondering.
  18. You are going way out of your way to impress people here. It is not working.
  19. Let's hear those wedding bells!
  20. Thanks for the info. I'll have to look at it a bit more closely.
