I'll donate a Killing Joke 3rd Print CGC 9.4

Got my Modern submission back on Friday. I got hammered. Some I was expecting, some I was not. I sent in 2 1st print Ultimate Fallout 4 and 1 2nd print Pichelli variant. Got a 9.4 / 8.0 / 9.6 respectively. I can understand the 9.6 on the Pichelli variant, but the 8.0 seems awful harsh. The 9.4 could be accurate, but was hoping for higher on these. The 8.0 has Grader's notes of light bends to cover, light spine stress lines to cover. I see some spine ticks, but, I think were way too hard on this book.

I have not received my SS PM yet.

@James J Johnson has never conducted and buys or sales here, so, no one has been burned. No one can absolutely prove he is KSH. He won't prove he isn't, to the satisfaction of the good citizens of the board. I have no feelings as to who he is one way or the other as I have never bought or sold from either. I have replied to JJJ in threads before and I have also e-mailed KSH (back when he was Robojo) about someone stealing his photos. I forwarded his reply to Mark Zaid, as was requested. That is as far as my dealings with both of them have gone. I will volunteer to be the verifier, if JJJ would send me the evidence. I would verify it, redact personal info, and post for all to see. I have dealt with many people here and have never had an issue, so, I would like to think I would be seen as a trusted verifier.

Can't really tell if it is a light reflection or possible color breaking crease. If it is a color breaking crease, then I would agree with the MCS grade

Not seeing a 9+ there. Foxing, spine ticks, something going on the upper right corner, spine roll. Looks closer to a 6.5, to me.

I sold some Killing Joke various print editions to buy an exhaust system for my car. Then I used the money to buy some Killing joke books I needed to upgrade.. Then I bought the exhaust anyway. Not quite what I was looking to do, but, I hate deciding between 2 things I needed.

My submission just went to Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging today. It was received on 6/21/21.

If the box is shown as delivered, the Post Office won't do anything about the insurance.

So, the book was originally scheduled for delivery on Friday 8/27. Then it changed to Saturday 8/28, before 5pm. then time changed to before 7pm, then 8pm. Then, around 10pm it went to "Awaiting delivery scan". No further updates. Monday I e-mailed the Post Office, thru the "Where's my package" option on their web site. Tuesday they just left an undeliverable notice on the door. Never knocked or rang the bell. So, today I went down to the Post Office to pick it up and this is the conversation I had with the clerk Clerk: Hi, can I help you? Me: Yes, I am here to pick up a package, here is my slip Clerk: I will be right back Clerk: Is this Domestic registered? Me: Yes, it shipped from Florida Clerk: OK, give me a minute A few minutes later... Clerk: Oh, you are going to find this funny Me: No, I probably won't Clerk: The only person that has the keys to the safe left at 9am Me: No one else can open it to get packages out? Clerk: No. You can always come back on Monday Me: Monday is a Holiday, won;t you be closed? Clerk: Oh yeah, then you can come back Tuesday Me: I work on the other side of town and won't be able to make it here in time Clerk: Well, I am sure it will be here next Saturday Me: (Storms out, pissed)

Not quite as good as pre covid, but, they are returning. Business has been pretty good. Garth Brooks played the stadium a few weeks ago and GnR played it a couple of weeks ago. Raiders getting ready to start up, so, business will be coming back pretty good it looks like.

All books were sent in on the same slow track modern submission, which they showed as received on 5/4. Both submissions went to Received/Scheduled for Grading on 6/21. That is why it is strange, since Magazine had a TAT of 186 days, at that time, and Comics were at 101 days. Not that I am complaining about getting it back sooner, just kind of odd.

Magazine submission is now at shipped Modern submission is still at scheduled for grading Kind of odd since they were submitted at the same time and Magazine turn around time is 186 and Modern is 101 days.

I still think my Killing Joke set is better than the one the won. Yes, I am bitter. Congrats to all the other winners!
