Continued tracking of my 50 piece personal collection's value for insurance purposes.

January to February 1.94% decrease
February to March 4.25% increase
March to April 0.82% increase
April to May 2.53% decrease
May to June 2.08% decrease -
Had multiple interactions with DWC back when they were the exclusive private signing partners for Stan Lee and Todd McFarlane.
Only bad interaction was when they 'misplaced' (aka may have lost) my ASM #1 for Stan's signature.
It was eventually located (after four weeks), but missed the signing I sent it in for and had to be held for the next signing.
That being said, Chandler did offer to send me a check outright for it or keep trying to find it. -

Jon Berthnal got this character spot on in the TV show, and rekindled interest in old fans, and gained new ones.
With Frank teaming up with DD in the new series - what's the point of dumping Frank now?
There is no way this is permanent.
Kevin Feige oversees all of Marvel so that their verticals are in sync.
Expect a 'return of the Punisher' before his return on Daredevil: Born Again next year.
But perhaps with no logo...
Recently, I've learned that seeing the logo is a 'dogwhistle' for particular groups of people.
I then had to ask what a 'dogwhistle' was.
I was against the logo change (I started a thread before the first issue dropped) because it was 'giving in' to those that co-opted the logo.
They should have leaned in to pushing those people away from it.
edit: original thread started when issue #1 dropped -
Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone is planning to facilitate Spooky Empire in Orlando, FL this year?
Thank you in advance. -

I'm curious about the story behind the Lucas CGC SS. Where was he that it could be CGC witnessed?
edit -
Found out it was being sold on consignment.
The seller does not know story behind it.
Googled 'George Lucas April 13th 2017' brought this as the top link.

George Lucas?
I have one, but not sure of the total number out there... -
Currently contemplating getting books reholdered to have consistent labels / cases across all my personal collection books.
(this includes replacing scratched cases or reholdering extreme newton rings)
I own the book below which now gets a yellow / green label.
My question is - will CGC reholder and honor the original yellow label OR issue a green / yellow label?

This 'hot take' irks me.
No matter the size of your submission every customer should be allowed to voice their concerns about a product and not be belittled.
Different people have different levels of discretionary income.
So, even submitting one or two books could be a big deal.
Question for CGC / @CGC Mike -
How is this being communicated to LCSs / eBay presellers that submit on behalf of customers?
I remember Big Time Collectibles referenced resubmitting the CGC exclusive gold foil Superman books back to CGC multiple times and then still shipping out subpar books / cases they got back.
And those were CGC branded...- steveinthecity, RockMyAmadeus, CAHokie and 3 others

This is very short-sighted for the consumer.
Especially after the pricing and grading tier changes recently announced.
CGC's "quality control" needs to improve then it wouldn't be an ongoing issue.- D84, Comicshows and SpineTic

That is a lovely piece that sold.

CGC should have kept all of the various information on Signature Series labels searchable on their site.
I've brought up a similar question when trying to determine how many comics were signed by hard to get person. -

I've never seen one sell before, but suspect if you threw it up with a BIN of $999 with "make an offer" you'd find out.
Good idea!
Quick question for anyone 'in the know' -
Would this method be valid for CIS appraisal estimates on rarely sold comics?
I ask because CIS recommends Comic Connect, but I have emailed CC multiple times with my hard to figure out appraisal list of 5 items with no responses. -

I’m a Cankor and Matt Allison fan but I’m not aware of any sales that have occurred since I’ve been interested in it. I’m sure that would sell for $500 but for $1000? Maybe not… but maybe, who knows.
Thank you
Yeah, it tough to determine...
The previous thorn in my side mini / zine I had was Milk & Cheese: Special Edition BUT even those eventually started hitting eBay... -

I'm assuming eBay made you pay for the shipping?
They did...
Case (and book) are fine which means they'll be relisted eventually.
