  1. Damn hoarder!!! I wanted to pull the trigger on it in the Clink auction and was glad you snagged it when I saw you post it. I wasn't on the board that day and missed when Barton sold it but when I saw you were the buyer, I was like "didn't he just buy one a few days ago?!?" The next freaking one I'm getting buddy!!!
  2. WOW!!! My son would mess himself for a decent copy of that book! (So would i btw! ) Congrats man!!!
  3. That doesnt even qualify as a miswrap for a Suscha book Thats a VERY crappy scan, in hand it's REALLY nice!
  4. Did someone say Suscha 101??? And more like 7-8 times what yours cost Peter!
  5. Avengers 46-101, Send me your PP address please
  6. Just wait for the book. I'm sure it'll be out soon
  7. I just got my Tales of suspense 13 and 28 in the mail today from the Clink auction, soooo nice! However, when i tried to enter them in my Registry, someone ( cough cough) forgot to remove them from their Registry
  8. Is it just me or does everyone think it would be just an awesome gesture by Ghost to donate those to a certain Avengers lover
  9. Does anyone know, is he even selling on eBay under a new handle now?
  10. No, you aren't legally bound to buy it. You are just a doosch that nobody would want to deal with at that point. I dont think anyone is saying this noob is legally bound to sell the book. they are saying what he did was wrong and he isnt someone most people would want to deal with at this point. Go into a store and spend some time with a salesman and agree on a price and when he goes to ring it up, walk out and say "nope, sorry changed my mind". Then, go back the next day and ask the same salesman to show you something else and see if he wants to deal with you again.
  11. I'm trying hard but sorry i just dont know what the heck you are talking about! What type of rules should we set up? Short of the perpetually nodding agreement bobblehead scenario i dont know what else would satisfy you. It has nothing to do with "contract law or gentlemens agreements". It's common freaking sense. I'm not trying to be rude, i just dont see how it could be any clearer. Regardless of who contacted who, one person said "is this for sale?", the other responded "yeah, ill sell it for $675". Then there was a "ok, ill take it for $675, give me your PP info". What more could possibly be needed? Now, i understand the offender here is saying he didnt see that and just read the "thats more than i want to spend". I'd buy that if he didnt give 10 other stories but it looks pretty clear he instead decided to clean and press the book based on other posts. Maybe he didnt realize his "yeah, ill sell it for $675" would be binding but he sure as hell should have unless he lives on another planet. Walk into any store and ask how much something is. Then, when they tell you the price, say exactly what he did "well, thats more than i wanted to spend but ill take it". Then turn around and just walk out of the store and see everyone in the store look at you like you are a psychopath cus thats what will happen
  12. I would say they started taking a downward spiral some time around 11/10/10 I've definitely done my part!
  13. I know this makes am a and EVERYONE eventually ends up saying this seemingly but DAMN the quality of noobs has dropped of late!
  14. Well done sir! Seriously, this is giving me BAD flashbacks to being a 1L. I can't remember my contracts profs name but she would have LOVED that analogy!
  15. There are fewer horrible things than people training dogs to kill each other for entertainment and profit. Amen to that. I'm still wondering what a "Judist" is
  16. Oh man, having had the misfortune of sitting thru 3 years of law school, this thread is one of the funniest i have ever read! I dont remember who said it but the poster that said people would basically have to be bobbleheads nodding agreement over and over was freaking priceless It's VERY simple wether you are at a garage sale, on a comic site or in a court of law. Offer, acceptance, consideration. It's literally day 1 of law school. No joke, very 1st day thats what you learn in any law school in the country. And yes, just like here, there is ALWAYS a couple people that just cant accept that and make the class stay 15 minutes extra arguing that there should be more than offer, acceptance, consideration A book was offered, the buyer accepted, end of story. To not honor that and act like everyone here is off their rocker is just plain douchy, sorry
  17. I'm thinking someone likes Johnny Quest!
  18. You should ask and see if you can view both books in person I'm pretty sure thats the EXACT reason why they are NOT available in germany
  19. Hmmm, i didnt remember David having a Pedigree copy. I guess there goes the sellers story that he bought it a few years ago at SDCC
  20. it does look weird! The cert search works now and this is what it says Certification Information Certification #: 0197801002 Title: Incredible Hulk Issue: 1 Issue Date: 5/62 Issue Year: 1962 Publisher: Marvel Comics Grade: 8.0 Page Quality: OFF-WHITE TO WHITE Grade Date: 08/13/2012 Category: Universal Art Comments: Stan Lee story Jack Kirby and Paul Reinman art Jack Kirby and George Roussos cover Key Comments: Origin and 1st appearance of the Incredible Hulk. 1st appearance of Rick Jones Betty Ross and General Ross. Census: See Census Info Notice, there is no pedigree designation there. I have quite a few Pedigrees and from what i can tell, EVERY single one of my few hundred Pedigrees say the Pedigree when you look up the cert # Something definitely fishy here. can the board detectives get on this case please
