  1. I guess, but I think I would try to build up more of a selling history before unleashing that book (and the AF 15) on an unsuspecting world. yeah, seems odd to have 2 books like THAt with that low of feedback buying motor oil in germany Im not very good at spotting scams on eBay but it seems legit doesnt it? Anyone have any idea who it is that owns the 8.0 Northland copy? The verify CGC cert function doesnt seem to be working for me so i cant check the cert # right now.
  2. Whats the deal here? thats a MONSTER book for a 10 feedback seller to be selling but seemingly looks legit no? http://www.ebay.com/itm/330788603459?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1413
  3. Someone has a registry set with over 200 Pedigrees in it?!? I HAVE to know what set this is now!!!
  4. What's the big deal??? I'm sure the 5,765,385th time he says "my name is j-son" and the person goes "oh , Jason?" and he says "no, J-son" and they say "huh?!? Are you freaking joking me?!? Seriously, how do you spell it???" he won't be traumatized or anything
  5. No. Please, catwoman, allow me to field this one. "I requested they be shipped to his address so the boys would get them while they visit." Did I do okay? (thumbs u I'm still trying to figure out why he had to ship them to his own kids Umm, cus his baby mama only brings then there once a month!!! "She" very clearly addressed this in lie #8, try to keep up man!
  6. Wait! You aren't really a balls doctor?!?
  7. Wow, this is gonna be even better than I thought last night
  8. Wow, this is gonna be good! And tomorrow is Friday no less! Some of you guys should be working for the FBI!
  9. Yikes, sorry man! Winning the TOS 13 is almost a bummer now. There's definitely some people I'd be more than happy to see get the short end of the stick in an auction but you sure as hell ain't one of them Korvac (thumbs u Honestly, i couldnt believe i was the last bidder. When i hit update, i really was shocked that mine was the last bid! If I'm ever selling a slab you want, let me know and I'll make it up to you (thumbs u
  10. It costs Jason $300! Exactly!!! Don't ask me what the heck it does I stopped asking about her triathlon stuff long ago like she stopped asking about my comics. That freaking bike is a money pit! Let's just say without that damn bike, I'd have a pretty nice Hulk1!
  11. You think my wife told me she was buying a $300 freaking WATER BOTTLE ( yes, a $300 water bottle!!! ) for her tri bike?!? Hell no! I had to research it to find out. If she wants to dig thru my comic room and then research what a 9.8 Avengers 57 costs, great for her. Until then though, it cost me "like $50"
  12. Auction fatigue could definitely be a good part of it. Again, i havent followed them very close but it seemed to me like there were a LOT of pre heros last night no? Its not normal to have THAT many in an auction is it? I've always thought the covers were cool and tried to maybe grab 1 or 2 here and there but they always have gone too high for me. Last night, i was pretty shocked how low a bunch were sitting and since there were practically no Avengers on my radar was able to finally grab a few lower than what i thought they should have gone for.
  13. Yeah, i was a little surprised at the selection of pre heroes. Like i said, i dont follow them close since im usually about tapped after the A's go off from buying Avengers. lately though, there have been times i havent bought a single Avengers so i can focus on some other wants. When i was looking at the pre hero TOS and TTA i was pretty surprised to see MULTIPLE pretty HG copies of some issues and wondered if that was normal. I dont remember seeing that very often before but again i dont follow them real close. It definitely didnt seem like a good idea to me. if i was selling a 8.0-8.5 TOS 27 or whatever, i'd be pretty annoyed that Clink also decided to have a 9.2-9.4 copy in the same freaking auction
  14. This thread is almost making me want to dig out my "W" longbox out from the bottom of my 8 deep stack and see what my 4-5 copies look like. ALMOST
  15. I dont know much about pre-hero prices and havent really followed the auctions the last year or so. I've always wanted to start snagging some but was too busy with my Avengers run. Now that i'm almost done with it, i can start getting a few pre-heros here and there. Like mysterio said, i wasnt even going to bother bidding on these last night since i figured my what i thought were lowball bids would get blown away but i won all 3 for at least in my mind REALLY low prices
  16. Is that the cutoff for registry awards? That's when I get married Separate bank accounts buddy. Don't give in. I was thinking about that! Let me tell you the GOLDEN RULE of collecting comics as a married man..... All comics and i mean ALL comics cost "like $50". I dont care if you get 1 slab in the mail or a box as big as you with 50 of them. As far as the wifey is concerned, it cost "like $50" (thumbs u
  17. Is that the cutoff for registry awards? That's when I get married
  18. Thank you! Now stop buying up all my dang Pedigrees!!! Its bad enough i gotta deal with surfer outbidding me on all the SA ones. Now, all of a sudden you pop up and start snagging all my BA drekky ones that nobody but me ever wanted
  19. Nice! I wanted to bid on that but was 99% sure it would just drive it up on you since you've been snagging all my #1's lately. I would have been 100% sure you were bidding except it wasn't one of my beloved Peds so i had a tiny little sliver of doubt Went for these instead
  20. Yeah, i have a weird feeling people will be getting those Silver sable comics and not a nice "lower mid-grade" AF15
  21. +1 Ant-Man may be considered lame but the larger picture is the footprint Dr Henry Pym has left on the Marvel Universe. Ant-Man, Giant-Man, Yellowjacket, Ultron, Vision all stem from him. Even all that may still seem kind of lame but the Avengers series is Pym IMO. TTA27 is a major key in my book
  22. Seriously though, i have a hard time figuring what to pay on some of these since there is so little gpa data. I just put in the bid i was comfortable paying with no real guidance from gpa. A 7.0 sold like a month ago for $210. A 7.5 sold a year ago for $372. An 8.5 sold for $282 back in 2006. Not a lot of help there I paid $420 which was a decent amount lower than my max bid. granted this has c/ow pages so that might have hurt the bids but i was happy with the price. I'm not real big on following pre-heros so maybe i paid too much???
  23. Awesome book, Jason! What would that sell for now? Is there a significant premium because it was one of Nic's? If anything, i paid less since the hack that tortured us with that steaming pile of garbage called Ghost Rider has his name on the label
