  1. Probably overpaid a little but i REALLY wanted this page, the last page from Avengers 140. I love that issue and it has Vision, Hank Pym and the Wasp all on it so i had to have it. My 1st real foray into OA and FINALLY an Avengers page
  2. How the hell did you get in?!? I drove down yesterday with my son but they directed us to overflow parking and said it would be almost an hour wait for the shuttle and then a 2-3 hour wait to get in. No way my 8 year old would have sat in the sun that long waiting so we turned around and came home. Bummer!
  3. Words of a truly wise man Or "I traded some other books for this one." I've used that one a LOT! +1 I mean, just the other day I traded a Revival #9 9.8 for the ASM #50 8.0! And can you believe, the Revival #9 was only $20! I like the cut of your jib sir!
  4. Yeah, I bet that DOES get spendy, just at the grocery store alone (eating healthy ain't cheap) Oh no! She eats like ! When you go out and bike 80 miles, then run 14 and then swim 1.5 in the Florida heat, you can eat whatever the hell you want. She actually HAS to eat crappy since she cant really maintain her weight unless she eats all day. Its the equipment and races. her last tri-bike cost more than my 9.8 Pedigree Avengers 57 not to mention what it costs to ship that thing back and forth to her races. Going thru a pair of running shoes every month, wetsuits, Garmins etc, etc, etc. It never freaking ends!!!
  5. Words of a truly wise man Or "I traded some other books for this one." I've used that one a LOT!
  6. Words of a truly wise man I know the books you buy so you either have the most understanding wife on the planet or follow the "$40" rule
  7. My wife runs triathlons and ironmans so luckily or unluckily for me depending how you look at it, her "hobby" is just as expensive if not more so than mine so she really cant say anything about my comic purchases
  8. $40?! In my house, they're all twenty bucks! $25 with shipping! Thats an even better rule!
  9. Wives are funny that way. Many, many MANY times the Mrs. didn't seem to care. The trick is not to abuse that apathy, which can be very easy to do. Otherwise all the little purchases MAY turn out to be stockpiled ammunition for one HELL of an arsenal That seems like very good advice! Unless you are watching them like a hawk, i guarantee your wives are NOT telling you exactly how much each purse, pair of shoes, outfit is costing 1st rule of comic collecting for married men, ALL comics, i dont care if its an AF15, ALL COMICS cost "like $40" (thumbs u
  10. freaking awesome!!! Bro these pictures do not do Mikes work justice at all, He is so incredibly detailed its not even FUNNY. I agree! I think you should sell it to me so i can really appreciate the detail!
  11. Woohoo! Apparently the winning bidder on the 48 was a deadbeat so i got that one also today I'll get scans when they arrive but they were: Sgt Fury 47 9.4w Rocky Mountain Sgt Fury 48 9.6w Northland Sgt Fury 49 9.6w Winnipeg Sgt Fury 70 9.6w Rocky Mountain
  12. Oops, sorry! Ive been snagging a few Pedigree copies here and there for like a year now
  13. even the one with the spoon-y pq at ow/w??? There were 4 Pedigree copies that went off on eBay like an hour ago. 47,48,49 and 70. I saw this and figured you would outbid me at the last second but all but the 48 went without a last second bid and i got pretty cheap.

  15. I'm sorry that I don't know the other boardies on the list but when you are screwing over guys like Surfer and condition, you are as low as they freaking come. Not that anyone should get screwed Orr but those guys are as top notch as it gets when it comes to boardies. I'd send either of those guys my life savings and trust them 100% Send me your life savings. You??? I'd be a little worried sending you a bag of poop!

  19. Dammit! Now we've lost Peter to the OA bug also
  20. I know. I know. But I want funny, interesting stories of the date if that's what you're going with. Or maybe 2/4 was some secret code to a treasure or something?! They're YOUR stories. You guys tell 'em! (thumbs u Ahhhh, ok! 2 of 4 was his rating of how hard he vomited when he actually read the story Sorry. In my defense, i LOVE the Avengers and even still like half of the 1st 200 issues make me vomit in my mouth a little when i read them
  21. Based on DD's popularity, he knew you'd never be able to impress an 8 enough to score her but figured you MIGHT be able to get 2 4's with it?
