  1. You could have stopped at the part where you said you haven’t read all the peanuts strips I didn’t think much of the strip either until I actually, you know, read it, from beginning to end. Look far back enough in the forums and you’ll see posts where I wonder how TF anyone could like peanuts.
  2. Wow that’s sort of reminiscent of a steranko cap splash. Wonder if he borrowed a little inspiration!
  3. When I first started collecting at 11 or so years of age I really disliked Kirby and didn’t understand how someone that drew so poorly could have any respect in the industry. And then I started reading some silver age books and fame to not hate him and of course now he’s one of my favorites.
  4. You may be right but I really dig it
  5. These takes are older than time. Forget the sealed aspect and just think about someone collecting out print games from their childhood. Not that weird. Now imagine them as an adult appreciating copies in great condition. Not that weird. Sealed games is like the top 1% of the marketplace . Focusing the discussion solely on that is like focusing on a discussion on 9.8s. It never ends up being a worthwhile discussion because by definition most people prefer the other alternatives at the lower price.
  6. See? You’ve been converted to wanting a sealed ultima 3 in a matter of 12 posts thanks Shawn. On the go atm will reply later
  7. Great article and congrats to Danielle/Adam and Josh!
  8. It’s a nice item. I don’t blame the ask price. Might not get that but worth a shot
  9. Ydwen Efreet will surprise the muggles too.
  10. NO problem, no one is asking you to do that. We will do it for you, C-Nutz!
  11. P-Nutz has sold out to the establishment and will now be know as C-Nutz. Or maybe C-Deze-Nutz.
  12. Ehh. Sellout. If someone is offered a C+H with a market value of 100k vs a peanuts worth 20k, obviously absolutely everyone is going to pick the C+H because the value is so disparate. But I'd take 100k in Peanuts art over 100k in C+H art any day.
  13. Actually, not at all. That one is squarely on you I’m afraid
  14. I agree, but her and marcie together were ruff!
  15. Those were the ones.... PP and Marcie strips for like 10 years between.. 85 and 95? agree with your other thoughts
  16. Those endless peppermint patty strips made me want to gouge my eyes out. When I was a kid that’s where the strip was at. I really disliked the strip until I started reading all the early ones in those fantagraphics collections
  17. ^ it became an institution which is why it gets all the love. The last twenty years are brutal but it was always there every time you opened the paper. IMO it deserves the praise because 1950-1965 are sublime but you’re not wrong about some aspects . That said, the fact it repeated familiar themes is part of the charm because you could miss five years of the strip and pick up where you left off . When we read a Lucy pulling away the football strip we all know the punchline already but it’s fun anyways to see how Charlie ends up on his azz this time
  18. Of course. Otherwise we are just laypeople trying to be drafting professors.
  19. I knew it would be a relatable point for my homie P-Nutz
