  1. Cover is completely split and detached. I don't care. I simply love that back cover image. Here's the inside front cover too.
  2. This is obviously a cover swipe from Batman 9. I like how in this version Batman & Robin have been humanized and show some emotion, whereas the cover to Batman 9 is mostly a graphic representation.
  3. This is actually the back cover of the comic. But it's the only reason I bought the comic. When I get it I will load it into the mylar with this side facing out. The translation of "Morcego Negro" is "Black Bat"
  4. Perhaps Wanda created the "bubble" with her chaos magic, but doesn't remember doing it. So things entering the bubble are changed even though Wanda isn't perceptibly manipulating it. She doesn't remember setting up the magic bubble.
  5. Not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet but..... I just watched both episodes again. One thing that really stood out to me was, in the second episode there is no doubt the "sound" of a full size helicopter passing overhead and then a noise of a "muted" crash. Wanda goes out to find the toy copter. Toy copters don't make full size helicopter noises. A full sized helicopter would have made a horrendous crash noise. I definitely think Sword sent a copter in and it got changed into a toy. I don't think it was Wanda that changed it.
  6. Just picked this up. January 1945 I mean...how awesome is this illustration? It just doesn't get better than this.
  7. This one was missing 5 pieces. I was able to swap out 4 pieces from the other Action 1 puzzle I have (the fit isn't perfect but they do the job, and they're original pieces). So I still need 1 piece for this one.
  8. I just checked my 2nd "Action 1" puzzle (it's the one I'm using for parts). I would have given you the 2 pieces you need, but the die-cut is upside down on mine so it won't match the pieces you need.
  9. My tray puzzles are missing a lot of pieces too. Here's my tray puzzles. All missing pieces like yours I got the missing shapes from another non-superman Saalfield Tray puzzle from 1940 and painted over the image.
  10. I have experimented with this too. The die-cut is very close, but sometimes they print it upside down so the die-cut is wrong. Other times they flip the die-cut so it goes the other way. Something that I have done is buy the other (non superman) Saalfield "300" puzzles from 1940 that match the die-cut. When they come up on ebay you can usually get them cheap (as in $10 - $15). Saalfield used the same die-cut on these so you can find the pieces you're missing, but then you have to paint the pieces to match your superman puzzle. Here's an example. There were 3 pieces missing on this one (down in the water) so I took the same shapes from another cheap Saalfield Puzzle and painted them. They are usually a little off so you might have to sand them with a dremel tool. Some day if I find another one of these puzzles and the die cut matches, I'll switch out my painted pieces with the correct ones. One other nice thing about buying the other non-superman 300 puzzles, is...... if the bottom of your Superman box is trashed, you can switch it out with the bottom of the non-superman box (if it's in nice shape of course). They are exactly the same box.
  11. Wait. Is that $15 or $150? Either way it's a deal
  12. I WISH they would have made a set of Batman puzzles like these.
  13. SO SWEET with those sigs Robotman. Do I see that one piece is missing?
  14. Yeah, the Action Comics 1 is tough to find at a good price now.
  15. Nice collection. Well done! Is that a complete set? I don't even know.
  16. Here's my meager collection of puzzles. I've probably sold 6 of these puzzles thru the years, and now I wish I had them back because I can rarely find them with all the pieces so it's nice to have extras so you can swap out the pieces.
  17. Post your 1940 Saalfield Puzzles I have a bunch of these and have been assembling them during the pandemic. They are a fun diversion. My favorites are the 300 piece puzzles because they actually "interlock", they have "hidden" shapes like dogs, cats, axes, birds, candles, stars, etc, as pieces. There is also a 300 piece puzzle that has the front cover to Action Comics #1. Most of the time when you find these they are missing pieces. Here's a complete 500 piece that I just got. "Superman Stands Alone":
  18. So bad! How is Wolverine's head even attached to that body. His arm is as thick as sabretooth's leg
