  1. I've never seen this one before. Ebay buyer's excuse for late payment. At least he's being honest.
  2. The "upgrade" might be a resubmission. I've thought seriously about it. It sure looks better than any 4.0 I've ever seen. I had Matt screen it for me and he thought it had "white pages" too.
  3. I feel like I'm old. Who are you, Methuselah?
  4. My dad took me to see this movie in the theatre when it came out. I was 12 at the time. We didn't tell my mom. Such a bad movie and yet awesome at the same time.
  5. Funny you mention the coloring, because the "Red" registration is off by a lot on this page. I've never seen the reprint.
  6. I love when they show the car 200 feet away from the person, then the next edit is of the person running even harder (even though you know by now the car would have hit them), and then the next edit shows the car still 200 feet away (or further).
  7. It's like the scene in Prometheus where the Alien Ship falls back to the planet and starts rolling towards the woman. I kept thinking "RUN TO THE SIDE" and the woman kept running along the path that the giant ship was rolling.
  8. He's got handlebars to steer the thing. I see no way that those handlebars will steer that thing. And I don't see any brakes. Blackhawks.... simply step out of the way and basically that guy is screwed.
  9. First I have to say.... this is actually a really cool cover. But, unless I'm mistaken, the hoop rider is about to get a giant metal rod wedgie. Am I right or am I missing something?
  10. I still get surprised when going thru comics. I was just loading this Star Spangled 113 onto ebay and was really struck by the Splash page for the Tomahawk story. Looked it up in the OSG and sure enough...... Frazetta. A 10 page Tomahawk story. Pretty cool. Did Frazetta EVER have any off days? His work is so eye catching.
  11. It's a great looking comic. The beauty of the restored market is you can get great books at a fraction of the price. I hope you got a good deal.
  12. You have to wear gloves to handle your slabbed comics? I've been doing it wrong all these years.
  13. I think it seems more like a 5.0 deal which may be more appropriate for this comic.
  14. I wanted to say "At least the spine looks great" but then I zoomed in and saw a color breaking crease that goes up almost the entire spine. I'm sorry, but when you add the MC, that might be the worst 6.0 I've ever seen. My 4.0 almost looks better.
  15. This is when an experienced Presser might have stepped in to say, "In my professional opinion we should not press this because the CF is too fragile at the staples. I'd love to take your money, but we should pass on this comic."
  16. The next time I submit something that might need a label notation I'm going to request lowercase letters and an even tinier font size.
  17. Shouldn't the word "Qualified" be on the label somewhere? That's kind of confusing. At least the label notes are there.
  18. Detached CFs at higher grades? I always had it in my mind that 6.0 was the cut off for a detached CF unless you wanted a Green Label at a higher grade.
  19. Check out this thread. Comic went from a 6.5 to a 7.0 even though the CF became detached.
  20. Spine realignment came at the cost of a detached centerfold. The 7.0 seems like a gift grade knowing the CF detached (from TWO staples). Hmmmmmm?
