Is there a market for Western comics any more?

Cool Cole cover. I've never seen that one. -

I can't remember the issue number either, but I used to have it. I remember posting these panels in a previous thread. Hilarious

I was just paging through my Adventure 285 and saw it reprints (in black & white), the Page 2 origin from Superman comics 1. It seems like that would be mentioned on the label notes of a CGC slab for this issue. Overstreet doesn't mention it either. A funny thing about it is, at the bottom of the page it says it is from the very first Superman story published in 1938. I guess DC doesn't even know their own history...... This page is from Superman 1 published in 1939 and is no where near being the 1st Superman story.

Dumb Dumb Dumb idea for a story!!!! Aquaman answers a distress call on a boat and finds a Clown has passed out and needs a Blood Transfusion. Once finished the clown gets all of Aquaman's powers. For starters...... WHY would a clown in full costume even BE on a boat?????? Secondly, since when does losing consiousness require a blood transfusion???? Thirdly, how does a blood transfusion give you the power to breathe underwater?????

Yes, it's a gorgeous unpressed copy. But, there's an imperfection on Lil's right knee. I think it's a printing flaw in the ink, but it comes across as a color touch. -

So, does that mean there were 4 comic book sized MMMs? That would be a great set to have.

I love Neill's art too. And certainly his art became what most people associate with OZ, but Denslow's Oz work.... It's too bad Baum & Denslow both had such huge egos and couldn't work together.

Robotman, ever seen one of these Billy Bounce pins? The artist, WW Denslow, was the original artist for the Wizard of Oz. I've seen his art as part of Sunday Strips, including Billy Bounce, but I had never seen this pin before.

A Buddy of mine sent me this photo of his Tracy collection. I always think of you Robotman when he sends me these types of photos. I'm sure you have most of this stuff, right?

I've had this for a while but I don't think I've ever posted it in this thread. The CF is married so right off the bat it's going into a green label. I also think it's got a couple of small pieces of archival tape on the inside cover. Is there a "qualified/conserved" label? There's no trimming, color touch, or pieces added.

Kirby's brilliant splash pages (post em if you have em)

Anyone know where he pulled these photos from? Did he just cut up different photos of appliances and paste them together? -

Another Legion of Superheroes audition. The "Tusker"! He is obviously where Marvel got the idea for Wolverine's retractable claws. So..... when the Tusker retracts his tusks.... where do they go in his skull?
