  1. Secret Agent 1 CGC 8.0 1966 Has not been pressed To me it looks like a 9.0 right now $49
  2. 10% off everything in the thread Normal Rules No HOS or Probies US destinations only USPS priority shipping - you pay $8 per slab (I'll reduce that for multiple slabs) and $4 for any raw comics Paypal or MO ok 1st in the thread wins it. No returns since these are 3rd party graded.
  3. That artist should have used this professional shading technique
  4. It's tough to see, but yeah.... she's either crying or has a new scar on her cheek.
  5. Batman, stop squeezing her so hard! You're making her cry.
  6. I was leafing thru a Golden age Cap 65 and saw this panel of Bucky crying... with tears even. We see crying all the time in Romance comics but how often do we see our favorite SuperHeroes crying? Post your Super Hero crying panels here.
  7. 2 newer copies for me that I haven't posted. The one on the right is complete with a detached cover. The one on the left is missing the CF Both super low grade, but...... with prices the way they are, any Af15 is a good Af15 to have.
  8. Supe 1 0.5 (coverless) sold for $22,000 in Sept. Take the front cover off that Bat 1 0.5 and you're looking at a lot less $
  9. You're right about her face. Major acne problem. I'm not going to press this one. 1 staple comics make me nervous to press.
  10. Or the Tick. American Maid and Hot Fudge are battling it out.
  11. Sending this in to be graded on Monday. Looks pretty nice. Front cover is great. Back cover has a couple light stains.
  12. "While considering ideas for an appropriate archenemy for Captain America, writer and artist Joe Simon saw a hot fudge sundae melting and noticed it resembled a human figure. Inspired Simon at first considered calling his new villain "Hot Fudge". Let's see..... "Hot Fudge" or "Red Skull".... "Hot Fudge" or "Red Skull"..... which name will stand the test of time?
  13. That Shield... so weird to see him using that shield.
  14. Cap 1 interior is great. Red Skull is great. Caps origin is great. Kirby art is great. But 1st Joker & Catwoman trump all of that. I still pick Cap 1 overall.
  15. Cap 1 cover > Batman 1 cover Batman 1 interior > Cap 1 interior Two great books. Overall I choose Cap 1
  16. Totally by accident, but I agree. Menacing. What evil thing will he do to those people.
  17. If you send the Cap 1 staples to CGC will they slab them?
  18. Sing along everyone....... Comics in boxes with no packing peanuts, No bubble wrapping, no stuffing, no kleenex. Brown paper packages, tied tightly with string, These are a few of my favorite things. Rust covered staples and clipped "Value Stamps" My GA collection downstairs in the damp. Postal deliveries left out in the rain, These are deliveries I cannot explain. El Marko'd Stan sigs that look like a bug The start of a spine split that somebody tugged New improved slabs with Newtonian rings, These are a few of my favorite things Dog-eared pages, Detached covers, A Spine roll that's really bad It's then I remember my favorite things And then I feel like.... I've been had.
  19. I haven't said anything yet. These were all low grade books so it's no big deal. But I will definitely let them know not to wrap in string
  20. I think all of us have received comics loose in a box or envelope, but seriously has anyone else ever received comics tied with string?
  21. Yesterday, I got a box with 8 comics. Every single comic had 2 pieces of cardboard around it. And then all of that was bubble wrapped. It was impressive.
  22. Well..... I think we've all had worse packaging than this, but this was my first "tied up with string" shipment.
