  1. Grade is in..... pretty much all of you guys NAILED this one.... Universal 4.5 I'm happy with that Turns out it's the 2nd highest on the census (by itself). I can't believe more of these haven't been submitted.
  2. Grade is in...... Universal 7.5. This is a HUGE relief for me as those extra staple holes had me spooked. Still.... would've liked an 8.0. It's a gorgeous cover
  3. Grade is in.... Universal 7.5 Should have pressed it to get that extra half grade to an 8.0
  4. Grade is in....... Universal 9.0 Woo Hoo!!! Wow, none of your picked it that high so I'm stoked. Census says only one graded higher.
  5. I got a disappointing Universal 7.5 The graders notes were all about light creases. I guess I should have CCS'd it first, I thought it looked really nice the way it was. Maybe the CR - OW brought the grade down too.
  6. Seriously, I have no recollection of when I got it. I wrote $79 on the back of the backing board which would be what I paid for it. Seems like a pretty good deal for $79.
  7. Found this while going through my collection the other day. I love finding old comics that you've forgotten about.
  8. I'm sending in some titles for slabbing that you don't see too often. I thought I'd run them by you guys here first. Startling Terror tales 5. Cool cover Cover & CF snug at the staples Front cover has a shallow vertical crease (kind of like a subscription crease). Another crease in the lower right corner. back cover has foxing, sun stains, and some creasing.
  9. I'm sending in some titles for slabbing that you don't see too often. I thought I'd run them by you guys here first. Here is Lucky Comics 5 with a cool Devil cover. Cover & CF are snug at the staples. Tiny torn piece by bottom staple (above ghost's arm) has almost separated (I'm lucky it's still attached). Back cover has a tiny piece missing upper left, and a shallow crease lower left.
  10. I'm sending in some titles for slabbing that you don't see too often. I thought I'd run them by you guys here first. Punch 21. Cool cover Cover & CF are snug at the staples 1/2" tear at the top by the "N" Back cover has a crease lower left corner and a dirty smudge in the lower right.
  11. MSH 18 CGC 7.0 I actually thought this might grade higher. There are basically no creases on the front or back cover. It certainly presents higher than the grade. $280 $270
  12. Action 44 CGC 4.5 DOUBLE COVER C-OW (inside cover is 4.5, outer cover is 2.5) $1100 $999
  13. Normal rules apply No HOS ro Probies US destinations only Winner pays USPS $10 for slabs & $5 for raw comics. Paypal or MO ok. 1st in the thread wins it. Returns are ok within 14 days (you pay the return shipping)
  14. I was looking at GPA for Archie 1. The most sales have been for 3.0s, which according to the census is where the majority of graded Archie 1s are (1/4 of all universal graded Archie 1's are a 3.0). In 2016 a 3.0 sold for $29,388. Since then, five 3.0 copies have sold. Pretty much, each copy selling for less. The latest 3.0 sold last month for $21,805 (a pretty steep decline from $29,388) What do you think? Is this just a "correction" from the Archie hype of a few years ago? Or is this a trend that will continue. I've always thought of Archie 1 as such an iconic comic with a classic cover. If the price decline IS part of a "correction", where do you think the value will stabilize?
  15. I just picked this up off of ebay. It's actually a very nice copy with a major flaw. The tear you see at the top goes thru the entire comic. I think if I asked for a Blue label it would technically be graded as a 1.5 even though it looks nice. I'd like to know what you think the "qualified" grade would be. Spine is nice with no splits. Cover and CF are snug at the staples
  16. I found this hiding in my collection today. Great Kirby cover. Really nice. Cover and Cf are snug at the staples (top staple buckled a little during production). The line you see 1/2" in from the spine appears to be a production flaw. The line goes the length of the comic and is 100% perfectly straight (it's not a crease but kind of looks like one). Some faint penciled numbers on back cover top & bottom.
  17. Yes as soon as I saw the inside pages I could tell the stain on the front top was a distributor mark. They might down grade slightly but they wont be harsh. I still say 6.0
  18. If this were my book I would 100% take the Spine Roll out. It will look SO much nicer and probably net you a 4.0-4.5 in grade. Try to get those grey flecks off the A and M of "Amazing" too.
