  1. The Hakes auction AS8 coverless missing CF went for nearly $4500. Any thoughts on that price? I think they could have possibly made more using CC or CL. https://www.hakes.com/Auction/ItemDetail/220400/ALL-STAR-COMICS-8-DECEMBER-1941-JANUARY-1942-CGC-NG-FIRST-WONDER-WOMAN Full disclosure: (I was interested in this auction because I have an AS8 coverless missing the OW and wanted to get an idea of pricing)
  2. At the very least the grade should be reduced to 4.0
  3. Take note that I've added a photo of EVERY single page of the comic for you to look at. Even if you don't want to buy, have fun scrolling thru and reading a great old comic
  4. If the price is a "deal" then you can at least consider it.
  5. I agree, these are not signing fails.
  6. Why can't Stan use a thinner Sharpie like Tom Palmer did? Or at least use a new sharpie every once in a while.
  7. OK, that's like the Jingle Jangle in the 2nd photo. All the other B/Ws must be photostats
  8. Wow, those are really high grade! Gorgeous.
  9. What's a "Silver Print"? The Famous Funnies 10 b/w has a different look to it than the others. Maybe that one's a Silver Print.
  10. Action comics #6: First time he's called "Man of Steel"
  11. Yes, all comic book size. Some of the covers are blank on the back so I guess they may have been pulled off the press before the backs were printed.
  12. I bought a stack of front and back covers, some black & white stats, some comic ads, and some single interior pages (all in one auction). I don't know much about this kind of thing but they perked my interest so I bought them. Most of them are in great shape except most have some glue residue that was brushed onto the back. Some of the covers are white on the back like they were pulled off the press before the backside was printed. Mostly I was interested in the cool "Heroic Comics" superhero covers. Those are some awesome heroes that you don't hear/see much of.... Hydroman, Man o'metal, Musicmaster, Rainbowboy, & FlintMan. Such cool Superheroes. Can someone confirm for me that these are all most likely production art of some sort.
  13. Never any good comics (they're usually overpriced too). I did find a box of 20 Oz books once including a 1st edition of "Wizard of Oz". I asked how much for the books in the box and the guy said $20 a book. I gave him $400 and bought every book.
  14. That's about 80% of the last sale. Was it a good looking 5.0?
  15. So awesome of you to offer her good advice. Maybe that Karma will come back to you and she'll offer them up to you.
  16. Here's pics of a photocopy cover and a photocopy 1st wrap that I made up and will include. I will not attach these to the pages, they'll just act like a folder. These 2 wraps are NOT original pages, they are just photocopies.
  17. They even smell and taste the same.
