To me it has the "look" of a 7.5 - 8.0, but it all comes down to that tear and how much they deduct for it. I guess I would be happy with a 6.0.

I know this is over 9.0 but I'd like your opinions as to how much above 9.0 it is. It's purdy. Corners are sharp front & back. The slightest of bumps at the top of the spine. A spine tic in the black area under "25c", and just the slightest hint of 1 or 2 more spine tics. Back cover is probably better than the front.

I picked up a pretty nice Avengers 4 (I haven't had one of these in a while). It has a really high grade look to it, but..... The only major flaw is a 1 1/2" tear that goes from the bottom edge up thru Thor's hammer. Back cover has a tiny 1/8" tear on the top edge, and a super tiny water stain on the bottom edge. Everything else is really nice. How hard will I be slammed for that tear on the front?

Did they determine how far into the future they went? It would be cool to see an appearance by Vance Astro, or Killraven, or even Zarko the Tomorrow man.

I believe this could be a candidate for a "Conserved" label if you ever wanted to resub it. That way you could get rid of the PLOD.

I thought CGC graded it super harshly. I had it pegged as a 7.0 even with the tape pull. It had 2 name stamps on the back so I think that helped to pull it down.

I'm curious what the grade is on this and what the resto is. It's blurry but looks great.

I met a guy from a craigslist deal for a raw ST110 a few years back. I asked him if I could look at it out of the mylar, but I didn't realize he didn't know how to handle comics. Same thing happened.... tape stuck on cover.... I asked him to slowly separate the tape or it would rip the color off... he didn't listen and yanked it. The result is the white spot in the red under the word "Paste". I got a heavy discount on the comic, which was nice, but I think it would have been a 6.5 -7.0 without the tape pull.

BTW... that AF15 I showed you above... the label on it said "VERY small amount of color touch". By adding the word "Very" into the note, I thought it was only going to have a couple dots of color and it ended up having a ton of CT.
