I don't think Hughes did the art on this cover. And..... The portrait of Archie isn't looking in the right place

A tale of my two Econ Fast Tracks submissions 1) Received 12/23/22. Been in GEI since 1/2/23 (they've had it 5 1/2 weeks now.) 2) Received 1/17/23. Shipped 1/25. The turn-around on this one was only 8 days! I don't get it.... why is the submission I sent in a month earlier STILL in GEI? I even called them last week and she said she would "nudge it", but it's still in GEI. Of course, I waited over a year for a Slow Economy Submission to come back so you'd think I would be more patient.

About 10 years ago I was laying out comics to photograph on my couch one by one to sell on ebay. I was taking a photo of a high grade raw FF45 (8.0ish) and my doorbell rang. I walked away with the comic still laying on the couch. When I walked back in my 175lb Great Dane was laying on the couch where the comic was. At this point I imagine the comic had gone down to about a 3.5 in grade from whatever he did getting onto the couch. I yelled at him to get off the couch (big mistake) because he jumped up in horror at my yelling and planted a giant paw right in the middle of the comic as he ran away. The comic ended up probably being a 1.0-1.5 once I salvaged it from all the wrinkles and tears. I learned a lesson about leaving out comics when there's a Great Dane in the house that day. Thank God it wasn't an FF48 or 49.

Comic book collecting with a foreign variant focus
gadzukes replied to Define999's topic in Comics General
Just got these back from CGC 2 UKs and a Canadian. So... I thought CGCs policy was to now give the name of the US comic & number as the Main title, and then the name and number that's printed on the comic as the secondary "notes". If that's the case then the Wild Bill should have been #1 to match the US version. And the When Worlds Collide should have been issue #110 to match the US version. CGC still has not mastered it's foreign comic labelling -

Nice presenting comic. Biggest problem is a thin bug chew that totals about 2" along the spine. The chew does not affect the inner pages.
