  1. Here's a massive Jungle Jim Sunday Strip collection with artwork by legendary Buck Rogers/ Flash Gordon artist Alexander Raymond. 169 sequential Sunday Strips that are mounted into a home made scrapbook. The strips start with number 1 from 1933 and go all the way to 169. Most of the strips are approx 7" x 15", but there are some that measure 7" x 10". Because the strips have been trimmed and pasted into a book I will have to grade them as PR. $190 shipped
  2. Normal rules No HOS or Probies US destinations only Paypal ok, take 3% off for MOs or checks USPS shipping is included in the price 1st in the thread wins it. I'm selling a couple of giant Sunday strip collections from the early 1930s. The strips are pasted into some home made Scrapbooks, basically creating a giant comic book. -Jungle Jim: Starting with #1 from 1933 and going sequentially to #169 -2 Tarzan books: 170 total strips starting with #69 from 1932
  3. I used to own an Action 9 so I know for sure 100%, that's why I posted this thread. Superman lifting the tank on the 1st page is an image you can never forget.
  4. Our Army at War 2 & 17 plus Patsy Walker 58 as per PM
  5. The CT is obvious on that Daredevil. It looks like marker so good luck removing it. Stay away from this seller.
  6. I'm pretty shocked that they made that mistake.
  7. There's a really bad label error on an "Action Comics 8" on ebay. I'm not going to post a link since it's a voldy label, but if you want to see a major error on a label do a search for Coverless Action 8. Can you spot the error? I'm shocked Dacardworld didn't catch it.
  8. Wow, that's a really nice looking 7.0. Too bad about the erasure in the "M". Are we going to see a CPR with this one?
  9. It would be nice if CGC cut a little time off the TAT as an incentive for using CCS for pressing. Maybe not "front of the line", but how about a "fast track" as an incentive. Right now I feel as if my full TAT is going to be somewhere around 6 months. If I get all 9.8s all hard feelings will be forgiven.
  10. The 18 comics I sent CCS for pressing on 7/11 have finally showed up as "received" at CGC. I was beginning to wonder. Does anyone know how CGC will treat these 18 comics now? Will they go to the front of the line since it's been so long or am I going to wait another few months?
  11. GCD says "Black Jack" is the Aquaman villain in the following Adventure comics: 107, 112, 114, 115, 125, 127, 138, 146, & 151. It most likely is one of those comics.
  12. Hey, you're right. I didn't think of that. That's gotta be a mistake. At least the "Lamination" notation is there.
  13. If anyone is still wondering how CGC will handle Laminated covers...... I just got this one back. I'm glad I sent it in. In hand, the lamination made it feel weird to me, but now that it's slabbed it seems more legitimate to me. If I choose to sell it I think I will easily make up the $24 (plus shipping) it cost me to slab it.
  14. Are you saying that the "Marvel Chipping" was glued down to hold it in place. If that's the case, then definitely have the glue removed. If there are pieces that have been glued on (like maybe the bottom right triangle) then the book will suffer in grade quite a bit if you remove the piece. It's a nice looking book. I hope it's just the MC that needs glue removed, if so I'm thinking it could get a 5.5 Blue
  15. Way to go!!!! What a deal!!! It presents better than 1.5 in my opinion.
  16. I have to disagree with you 100%. Cap 1 is an amazing cover.
  17. "Make the tear go away" and I wouldn't have been able to buy it for the nice price I got it for.
  18. Here's a gorgeous copy of Hulk 5 that has one major flaw. I'd say the comic would have graded in the 7.5 range except for the flaw. Please help me determine what you think the grade would be with the flaw. The flaw is obviously the tear in the upper right corner of the front cover. At first glance it looks like the tear was a complete separation, but luckily it is still attached by about 3/8" of paper at the top. The tear is about 2" long. Otherwise this is a beautiful high grade comic. Nice spine. Clean. Gorgeous inner pages. One more question.... would you guys risk pressing this comic? I would hate for that flap to get torn off in a pressing.
  19. I always like to know how small the color touch is. You may want to buy the graders notes to check that. If it's just a couple of small color dots then you may want to show it to a restoration removal service to see what they can do. It could be that you have a future 2.5 "unrestored" in your hands. The value difference between a Purple 3.0 SA and a Blue 2.5 could be quite substantial in the current market.
  20. I've got 21 books in for "Value" grading right now. They were received/invoiced on 7-11. 18 of them went to CCS for pressing and the status still says "at CCS" The other 3 are at CGC and are "verified". I'm sure Irma has probably slowed everything down a little (or a lot), but I'm starting to get a little antsy. How long do books usually stay at CCS for pressing? Mine have been there for slightly over 2 months now.
