Here's a group shot to drool over. Most of the raw ones are in the 3.5 to 5.5 range with one low grade in the top left corner. The only two of mine not in the shot are my 8.0 & my 9.0 that I keep in my Safety Deposit box. I'll try to get a shot of those some time. I am so glad I bought most of these 1 to 2 years ago, because the prices have really jumped. It's hard to get a bargain anymore.

Amazing book! The inner cover ad really shows through on this one. I've seen this on other silver age comics. Why does this happen? Is it because the cover paper was slightly thinner on this one?

Great book. Is the color touch a marker that bled through? Have you asked anyone about resto removal? Or, if resto removal isn't possible maybe having Matt & Kenny take it to a higher restored grade?

Really really nice. Wow, the cover is still attached. That's amazing for this comic. Did you ever think about erasing the pencil in the "A"? You dont erase anythign on mega keys I don't think my OCDs would allow that. Surely with a pencil mark like that, a very light going over with a kneaded eraser to lighten the pencil wouldn't be that bad would it? It probably wouldn't erase it, but it would lighten it slightly. Would that be so bad? Regardless, it's an amazing 3.0 and there are scores of jealous collectors out there

Great looking copy!!! Has it been graded? Is this one of the other 7.0s? I bought it from Met over 10 years ago. It's not been graded but they listed it as 6.0 restored. 10 years ago, wow... I'll bet you got it for a fantastic price 10 years ago. how much resto do you think it has? Did Metropolis say?

post all your copies sir That's an amazing looking cover for a 1.0. Too bad about the brittle pages. I believe Kenny & Matt have a treatment to bring back suppleness to the pages. Since it's so low grade it probably would enhance the value.

It achieved a "moderate" resto label instead of an "extensive" so I was pretty happy about that.

Got this back yesterday. CCS did such an amazing job on the resto. I'm super happy with the work. Thanks Matt & Kenny. I never thought i'd ever collect an archie comic, but now I might have to find an affordable Pep 22 & a Jackpot 4 to complete the Archie trifecta.

Has anyone ever seen extra staples as a "bindery defect". I bought a TTA 27 and when I opened it to the centerfold there were 4 staples on the spine. The weird thing is only two of the staples were holding the cover on. It's like in the bindery process, before the cover was on, the stapler stapled the coverless comic, then the cover was laid on and then the stapler came down again. Has anyone else seen something like this? I would swear it all looks like original stapling and not something a collector did later.

This arrived today from CGC. I've never had a "Key" issue in this high of grade. Even though this is fairly valuable ($6K - $8K) I just compared it to other Marvel Keys in this grade. If this was any other early Marvel Key I'd have a small fortune, but DD 1 still doesn't get the love, even in 9.2. I'm sure DD will have his day. I still remember him being my favorite marvel character when Frank Miller was writing him.

Nice book, still undervalued IMHO (thumbs u Super tough to find in high grade. I've got four 5.0s and now this 5.5. I can't seem to get one in high grade

Just got this 5 minutes ago. The front cover is in the 8.0 range I'd say, but there was a small water mark on the top of the back cover. I was thinking 5.0 or 5.5, so again, I'm pretty happy.

I wonder if this was down graded slightly for the signature on the cover. Beautiful. Very jealous.

I can't remember if I joined this club yet. I got this in last week. I have this one too, but I'm going to sell it so hopefully I won't have it long.
