  1. Yes, that's the cover, but the MP15 story is in HDTV 6. Maybe they reprinted it again in HDTV 21? But HDTV 6 is the 1st appearance of Iron Fist in brazil
  2. I just had this one graded. I thought the grade might even go higher than this, but even so.... it's the highest graded on the census.
  3. Dakota Lil. Cool esoteric western I had graded. I was thinking 9.0.... the white is white and the spine is perfection
  4. It really presents well for 1.8. Is there a major spine split?
  5. Like I said.... all 3 registered boxes were together. Yes, I always tell them to look in the vault (and it seems like some of them don't know anything about the vault). She took my phone number down and gave me a call right before they closed to say they had found the box (sitting on a desk in the back). She said it was a substitute carrier who screwed it up (it always is). I was able to go down and nab the box right as they were closing. Phew.... crisis averted.
  6. Just picked this one up. It has Marvel Spotlight 5 & Marvel Premiere 15 inside (Double Key)
  7. USPS left sticker on my door. 3 registered boxes for me to pick up. I knew that 1 was a small modern submission, and the other 2 were my Slow Economies FINALLY getting back to me from over a year ago. I just went to the PO. They had the modern & 1 of the Slow Economies, but they can't find my 25 book submission. OK.... this shipping mishap is not CGC's fault, but when you wait over a year and then the delivery gets screwed up!!!!! Fingers crossed they just misplaced it.
  8. I agree.... and what's more, I stuck a note in with the comic that I wanted JIM 83 included in the label notes. When it comes I'll let you know. I will be very disappointed if that notation is not on the label, because like you say... it's IMPORTANT!. It's HISTORY! It's JIM 83 for God's sake! I do understand since it has the cover to JIM 84 that it's easy to focus on that, but really it's only because they chose the wrong cover to the 1st issue. It has both 83 & 84 for the 1st issue so they should both be mentioned on the label.
  9. I've got a JIM 88 coming back to me. The label says "2nd Appearance of Loki" in the notes. (The one pictured is not mine) But I was wondering.... should the label notate "1st cover appearance of Odin", "1st cover appearance of Rainbow Bridge". "1st cover appearance of Asgard" Are any of those important enough to have the label updated? Do 1st "cover appearances" even mean anything? Do 1st appearances of "places" or "things" mean anything? What do you think?
  10. Yeah.... it makes sense. Every other collectible is blowing up. Back in the day (25 years ago?) when VHF Video stores were going out of business, I bought out my local (small town) video store. They let me have everything for $1 each. I figured I could make $2-$3 each on ebay. They had about 500 videos left in the store. I remember I got about $75 for a "Spinal Tap" Video, $75 for a "Fame" video, $75 for a Bette Midler movie called "Babe". And I did well on some SciFi videos ($10 - $20 each). That was fun. Ebay was brand new at the time and those sales helped me figure it out. And all my profits I put into comic books, which if you remember..... ebay comics was in the wild west phase of "No protection" on fraud, but on the other side you could get the most amazing deals.
  11. Start hoarding your DVDs..... they're going to be collectable soon
  12. I sent these two in for grading. I got a 5.0 on the left one & a 4.5 on the right one. BUT the one on the left contains JIM 83 & 84. It looks like they didn't mention JIM 83 on the label (It's coming to me in the mail so I don't know for sure yet)
  13. Hi CGC, I've got a submission coming back to me. One comic has "replaced staples" and got a "Conserved" label (which I think is appropriate, and is what I wanted). Another comic has "replaced staples" and got a "Qualified" label. I don't understand? Why didn't the second comic get a "Conserved" label too? Conserved is much more desirable in my eyes. The order is CGC7123140916 The 2 comics in question are: Brazil "Journey Into Mystery 85" & "Red Seal Comics 20"
  14. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't even own a DVD/BluRay player anymore since the advent of Streaming everything.
