  1. Oh dang. I hope I don't have the same grader.... mine will hit"shipping" in probably one of the next couple days.
  2. 8/11/21 is the received/SFG date So your 9/2 still has a ways to go. Hopefully not too long though if they're really trying to tackle Slow Economy
  3. Woo Hoo!!! My 8/11/21 Economy just went to GEI today. It's ALIVE. There's movement!
  4. Congrats! My 8/11 is still SFG.... but now that yours has shown movement, I am hopeful.
  5. Question: What is the oldest Foreign version of Action Comics 1? Or at least the oldest foreign Superman? Action Comics 1 has a cover date of June 1938. It's actual "On Sale Date" is April 18 1938. So what foreign edition came out first? The Brazilian Gazetinha reprinted the whole Action 1 in episodic newspaper weeklys starting in Dec 1938. I suspect there's something older than that though.
  6. Hi CGC, In late 1938 the Brazilian "Gazetinha" Newspaper comic started printing Action Comics 1 in an episodic format. Now that the foreign comic market is exploding, these comics should become very valuable and I'd like to slab them if I can. The example I show has Zatara on the cover and then it has an Action Comics 1 Zatara page and an Action 1 Chuck Dawson page on the inside. This comic is notable because it's the first "Cover appearance" of Zatara ANYWHERE, including the US (Zatara didn't make the cover of Action Comics until May1939). I was wondering if this comic could be put into one of your "Concert Poster" slabs? The exact measurement is 10-1/2" x 14-1/2"
  7. 3 more that I need CFs for if anyone has them.
  8. I needed a CF for a Cap 1. It took me 10 years to find it, but I got one (even with a ton of other people looking for one). I needed a back cover for my Superman 1. I searched for 10 years and I finally found one. Talk about a tough thing to find!!! My chances are really low for finding a MM8 coverless, but I'll keep looking. If I don't find one, I've still got an awesome cover.
  9. I'm looking for complete interiors and back covers for the top 2, and CFs for the bottom 2.
  10. I'm at 1 year and 18 days since I shipped the submission to them.
  11. I thought this was kind of interesting. In FOOM magazine #18 (1977) they had an article called "Mighty Marvel Mags in Europe" by Neil Tennant. Trying to educate the masses about the awesome foreign comic market way back in 1977 (I wish I would have listened and bought some back then).
  12. Even though Superman started in Brazilian Gazetinha comics in Dec 1938 (Newspaper format), I believe this Action 1 cover didn't come out until 1939. So awesome.
  13. ATLAS comics: Young Men 22 CGC 8.0 with WHITE pages This is the 2nd highest on the census. Front presents as a 9.0 with DEEP color strike and WHITE WHITES. Young Men Human Torch starts 2 issues after this was issued. $350 + $15 shipping
  14. Hmmmm..... My 8/11 economy slow subs are still SFG yeah, maybe the express books helped you out?
  15. Those would make GREAT longbox shelves
  16. X-Men 1 - Unrestored raw super low grade missing page 12 (does not affect the story). INCOMPLETE - Every single page is shown in my photos. It was a CGC .5 "qualified" (Cream - OW) that was cracked out of the slab. Nothing has been done to it, no tape, no trimming, no CT,... etc. It's simply a raw unrestored low grade "incomplete" comic. Lots wrong with this one. Even if it had page 12 I don't see it grading higher than 1.0. Maybe it could squeek out a 1.5 but probably not. Cover is basically detached although technically it is still barely holding onto a "tab" at the top staple. Cover detached at bottom staple. You should probably just consider the cover as detached. CF is detached at top staple Lots of tears, most of which you can see in the photos. 1/2" spine splits at top and bottom. The comic has the "feel" of one you would find in a damp basement. It's absorbed moisture, and has some staining. The staples show rust, but there's only been slight staining to the paper around the staples. The most notable tear is the 1" tear at the middle of the top edge. That tear goes thru the entire comic. There's also some 1" tears on the back cover. If there's a good way to "clean" the entire comic, that would help it. The GOOD thing about this comic is that the cover is pretty much complete for such a low grade. GPA shows a .5 (missing page 12) selling for $6000 in April of this year. $4050 shipped
  17. Normal Rules No Probies or HOS US destinations only Pay by Check, MO, Zelle Will be shipped USPS registered. I'll pay shipping unless otherwise stated. No returns on the Xmen 1, I will describe it well and put pics of every page.... it's super low grade. If you want it, you want it, if you don't you don't. No return on slabs. 1st in the thread wins it.
  18. Not all "Brittle" designations are the same. I bought an Archie 2 - 1.0 (with brittle pages) because I needed a CF. I was hoping that since the CF is in the center that maybe it was not brittle. When I cracked it out, to my surprise the entire comic was very supple except for the extreme edge of a couple pages. I was shocked that they gave it the brittle designation. You should probably just leave it alone, but.... If you're really curious...... You can crack it out and check the pages yourself. Just remember...... handling a Brittle comic will usually lead to flaking and more destruction. But it's your comic so you can do anything you want.
  19. If anyone can "unbrittle" the pages then I think your book could go up in grade. That brittle designation will probably keep it at 1.0
  20. Here's what I ended up with. Sturdy. Will fit about 25 boxes. Wife is happy.
