  1. Hmmm... that's an interesting thought, although I've never seen a comic come out of a "bound book" looking this nice along the spine (even with the defects this one has). Also, I don't think it's trimmed which most, but not all, bound books are. I'm going to say there's a "chance" you are right, but I still think it would get a universal grade.
  2. Front cover is nice. Everything is solid at the spine. Back cover is fairly nice too except for some light bug chews along the spine. There's at least a full inch split chewed at the top & bottom. In the 3rd Pic I lifted the back cover to let some light show you the bug chews on the back cover. Comic presents really well, but I know it'll get hit hard for that bug chew.
  3. Robotman, I love seeing your badges. Do you have the "Liberty Guards" badge listed on the back cover of Liberty Scouts 3 comic
  4. Make sure you. write down your submission #. You'll need it to check status.
  5. Super low grade but..... it's an ASM 14 so I'm happy. The cover is just barely holding on to "tabs" but it's still holding (do they count that as "detached"? I think you can see everything else.
  6. 1/2" spine split at bottom spine. Lots of small creases, small stains, small tears on back cover. My 3rd photo shows staining on the lower 3" of interior pages, however it's mostly right on the margin edge. All the other flaws you can see. I think there's a chance this cover was married/glued but give me your opinion as if it is unrestored.
  7. Nice comic. I count 2 spine tics. Upper left corner is slightly bumped
  8. Really pretty nice, except for 1 flaw.... a "pencil eraser sized" stain on the back cover (why couldn't it have been moved over into the dark area )
  9. Thanks Yes I was thinking 4.0 - 5.0. Now if it was high grade, say a 9.0, it would certainly be marked down.... is that correct? Also.... what if it was a "messy" coloring?
  10. I had a thought about submitting this Millie comic. When I looked inside I found one of the nicest "colored in" pages I've ever seen (a future comic colorist definitely). Does a colored in page automatically take this down to a 2.0 Blue, or would it get a Green label?
  11. To continue with your analogy... because they were receiving submissions but "not even opening them to put them in the queue", it's like 5 of the 10 grocery check-out lanes are not open BUT they're making you stand in those lines until a cashier comes over in a couple of months. Of course, if you have WK or EX written on your shopping cart they will lead you to the front of a line with a cashier. I never liked the idea of TATs that only started once they opened your package.
  12. If you type in the Submission # of the EC invoice, then scroll to the bottom of that page, you can click on a "Download Submission Detail". On that next page it'll tell you the status. It's a lot of searching for something that should not have dropped off the submission tracking page in the first place.
  13. Based on your comment CGC will create a new tier call "X-Treme Fast Track Economy" that will be faster than Fast Track and cost $30 per comic.
  14. Thanks for the head's up. The old... "we're shifting resources" response. If they were trying to get us to always pay the extra $ for FT, it's probably worked (at least on me). I may never do regular Economy again. It'll cost me an extra $375 per 25 comic submission but...... it's simply too outrageously long of a wait to use regular Economy, especially compared to FT.
  15. By "placing it in a friend's collection" do you mean you "sold it" to him 20 years ago and just bought it back?
  16. OK.... MoonKnight & F&WS are tied for my least favorites. I liked aspects of both though.
  17. I agree 100% with this comment. Don't tease it and then never show it. Having said that, I liked this last episode the best. I liked the intro of the new Layla. I liked the mid-credits scene. Overall.... my least favorite MCU streaming show so far, but I still give it a C+/B-
  18. Anyone know where they're at on Economy status from 2021? Have any July Economy's shipped out? My Aug Economies received 8/11 are still SFG status
  19. You simply do not see Black-cover Atlas comics as nice as this. In hand the colors absolutely POP off the page. Spine is really nice except for a bump at the top and 1/8" nib at the bottom. There's a tiny crease top right that I think will look really nice once it's pressed.
