Speaking of Captain America Comics #27
gadzukes replied to path4play's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
I just think it's a nice courtesy to show a buyer what the comic looked like "before". Some of these 9.8 extreme restored comics that are being sold..... I can't imagine what they must have looked like in the "before" stage. -

Mike did a great job. Keep that before shot of the comic in the bag with the slab in case you ever decide to sell. -

DC jumping the Shark in 1977. Did any of you see this live?
gadzukes replied to gadzukes's topic in Comics General
I never saw the Seaworld show, but I saw plenty of the Batman Stunt show at Six Flags over GA. I even knew the guy playing Batman for a while. Every time I would meet up with him I'd make him do his heroic "Batman walk". -
I found this Ad on the back of a DC comic from 1977. Did any of you go to Seaworld to see this??? So, Fonzie famously "Jumped the Shark" on "Happy Days" in 1977. Did DC see that and think "WE should do that!!!". Or did Happy Days see this Superhero Water Ski show and come up with the idea for Fonzie from it? I found a clip from the show on Youtube. Enjoy. The SuperHeroes come out around the 40 second mark of the video.

Anyone know what this book would grade for?
gadzukes replied to David&KrisComics's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Good looking comic. I'm going to say 8.0 - 8.5. Maybe even 9.0 with a press & clean -

Check this one out. "Os Homens-Aranha" which translates to "The Spider-Men" from 1939. Will they be a part of the Spiderverse going forward? Possibly the worst drawing of a Dinosaur I've ever seen. -

I've been buying some Brazilian comics. Here's a Chuck Dawson story from Action Comics 8 printed in Gazetinha #567 printed in October 1939 What I find awesome about this is..... In Action Comics, Chuck Dawson was a Black & White story (sometimes with red), so this Cover image is one of the the first "colored" images of Chuck Dawson. -
Came in the mail today. No additional damage luckily. Has the MVS Looks like a 2.0 - 2.5. I think taking the spine roll out and pressing might bring it to a 4.0

Well.... maybe I'll do a video of me opening this one when it comes. Maybe it'll be slightly entertaining.

A bunch of orders that I have not received yet have dropped off my submissions page. Where do I find the submission #s so I can keeps tabs on their progress? I don't think CGC should drop these orders off the page until they've been completed I pulled out my packing slips and see the "Order#s" but I can't find the Submission #s anywhere. This is pretty frustrating.

Yeah.... my scam radar is starting to go up. It was a zero feedback seller so "buyer beware" I guess. I'm sure ebay will cover me if it doesn't arrive.

At least he used a padded envelope and not just a manilla envelope.
