GRADE IS IN - Crime Suspenstories 18
gadzukes replied to gadzukes's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
How do we get CGC to do progressive grading like you? -

Nice comic. Worst flaws are a tiny nib out of the top of the spine, and a tiny piece out of the lower left back cover.
-
Will do
-
Nice copy. Worst flaw is the tiny spine nub at the bottom of the back cover and a hint of foxing on the back cover.
-
Mad 6 Amazing spine. Super Bright colors. The "waves" on the back cover free edge can easily be pressed out. Also what looks like a crease at the bottom of the back cover is not actually a crease... it can also totally be pressed out. I can do a little clean-up on the back cover too.

Yes. Frustrating, cuz the TAT data goes out the window when you realize your comic is just sitting in their warehouse "received, but unopened"

An eternity

My 8/11 Economies are still at SFG status Unless my math is wrong, I believe that's 185 working days and 265 days overall. They received them to their warehouse around 5/25 last year.... so almost a year total.

It would be Criminal not to show your CRIME comics!

I've been buying old Brazilian comics. Some have old Archie Stories (which I need to figure out what US stories they match up to). I saw this Soap Ad in one and thought it was pretty cool. It's from a 1947 Brazilian Gibi comic.

I thought this was a pretty good find for $20. 1945 Pato Donald with the cover to Large Feature Book 16 (well.... a clever adaptation of the cover) I believe Large Feature 16 is considered Donald's 2nd comic so this is a cool one to find.

Comic book collecting with a foreign variant focus
gadzukes replied to Define999's topic in Comics General
I just picked up this 1945 Pato Donald. It's a really interesting variation cover swipe of Large Feature Comics 16 from 1941 (considered the 2nd Donald Duck comic) Adding the slingshot to the Halo is pretty clever. Also has 2 pages of Submariner on the inside. -
Would this defect be down graded?
gadzukes replied to gadzukes's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
I was thinking that too, but thought I saw other examples that were top heavy but didn't have the color loss. -
A raw Spider-Woman 1 that I have has a manufacturing defect along most of the top edge. The ink didn't adhere to the very top edge and since it's a dark cover it really shows up. OR... perhaps the registration was off enough that too much top edge was showing when they trimmed it. With a press I see it otherwise grading around a 9.2. Will CGC downgrade for this? If it's only going to get an 8.0 there's no sense sending it in (at 9.2 I'm even hesitant)

I have you beat by a day 8/11. But I sent mine in at the end of May last year so it's really been about 11 months total.
-
I have an Economy Tier Submission that I sent in 11 months ago but wasn't opened until Aug 11 I must be getting close, right? 11 months is pretty ridiculous.
-
Sorry it didn't go higher, but happy for the huge profit you made.

I love that the feet are hidden too. I'll bet that was on purpose.
