  1. So....I decided to try to make the book look better by scraping in the white areas. Anywhere you still see ink in the white areas it's because the ink bled thru the cover to the inside. Some of you might think that is sacrilege but it's my comic and I wanted it to look a little better. I discovered some of the ink doodles were actually covering "white flaws" so I was concerned I would get a CT hit and a purple label. Nope. It's coming back as a 3.5
  2. I agree harsh. it looks SO good in hand. Grader Notes:light staple rust multiple crease front cover breaks color spine stress lines breaks color
  3. Coming back as a 9.0 with WHITE pages. Funnybooks you're a genius
  4. Sorry about that. Now removed. Definitely annoying. I thought the new pics would line up next to the other one, not below. Ironically, I have my settings set so that I don't see anyone's sig lines, because I was getting annoyed at that same thing.
  5. IMO Comics should be named on a label by what the title (and number) is on the comic. Then a sub-title can be used to identify what US comic that it comes from. I don't mind "1st appearance in (whatever country)", but it should never state "1st appearance" unless it was printed at the same time as the US copy (like Pence variants). The word "reprint" should probably be used when it's a reprint, otherwise it's very confusing. I am VERY happy that CGC is getting serious about foreign comics, and I believe there's bound to be some tweaking of the labels going forward. It's impossible to put out a perfect label on day one, but if they are willing to listen to the fan base and make changes when they start to see where the trouble spots are then it'll all work out.
  6. I'm still slightly confused. Here is one of my Australian Reggie comics. Clearly marked as #4, but it has the cover to the US Reggie #1 (truthfully I've never seen an Australian Reggie 1, 2, or 3... they don't show it on the GCD so I'm not sure if they exist). If I submit this will it come back as a "Reggie 1" as the main heading on the label?
  7. I'm not even talking about you Marwood, I'm talking about the CGC label.... look at it. They misspelled the title.
  8. Um.... Should there be a "C" option where the comic is actually called by it's real name "Homem-Aranha"?
  9. SOLD Our Army At War 83 (1st Rock) CGC 2.0 GPA has no recent 2.0s, but a 1.5 went for $1060 in January and a 2.5 went for $1900 last Sept. $1400 $1325 + $15 shipping
  10. Green lantern 76 CGC 8.5 OW-W GPA 90 day shows 3 averaging $1191, and a 1 year average of 13 at $1152 I believe this copy would benefit from a cleaning (upper right corner front and back, shows "cleanable area" IMO, and back cover overall could be cleaned up) $1050 $1025 + $15 shipping
  11. Raw coverless Amazing Spider-Man 14. Page 12 is a color copy completing the 5th wrap (taped in with archival tape) The pages for the most part are supple, but the spine is fragile (slightly brittle) No staples The 1st 4 wraps have 3" spine splits at the top & bottom. The 6th& 7th wraps have a 3" spine split at the bottom. CF has no splits but is most likely fragile. $300 shipped
  12. Flaming Love 1 CGC 3.5 CANADIAN VARIANT - (cover reattached with tape). I believe the cover may have cleanly popped thru at the staples on this one and was reattached. Comic presents like a 6.0 Bill Ward cover. A 3.5 US version of this sold recently and this one looks far superior. $300 + $15 shipping
