Did I hear right that one sold recently for $45,900? This one looks SO nice. Probably a new record coming.

Seems to be a lot of Independent comics in one box. Like this Stickboy. Any independents that I should be keeping an eye out for?

Yesterday, I got everything into brand new long boxes. And yesterday was garbage day so those horrid boxes are all gone (my wife was at work when the garbage guys came so she never saw the long box filth Yesterday I also removed all the disgusting bags and boards from 3 full boxes. Those comics all are in great shape and are sitting unbagged within the new long boxes. Yesterday I believe I found all the key issues (I'm sure there will still be some surprises), and rebagged and boarded all of those. Today, I rest and take care of other stuff before I dive back in and get rid of the rest of the disgusting bags/boards. Everything feels manageable at this point. Next week....... sell sell sell

Bingo!!! If this was a simple flip then I would have made out like a bandit on this collection, but this is going to be hours and hours of work. I'm going to "earn" every last cent of profit on this one.

Ok, so if you're curious.... I paid $800 for these 11 boxes. I only wanted to offer $500 because of how the boxes looked, but she's a friend of a friend so I offered $750. She countered with $850. I grimaced and countered with $800. Done deal. I'm going to do pretty good on it now that I know the comics are in great shape. But.... there's a lot of work ahead.

I'm done working on this today. I'm pooped. Taking in a collection is a LOT of work. Overall, I'm please because these are all looking pretty good outside the comic bags. Here's the last couple pics I snapped. I don't know anything about TMNT comics. Hopefully there's something good there.

You may be right. They're high grade, but I doubt I'd get 9.8, even with a press.

Got the whole Weapon X series from Marvel Comics Presents. The 72 has the "color loss" on the free edge. Is that a manufacturing defect? I've noticed about 1 in 5 copies have the exact same defect.

This one has got to be a 9.0 at least right now. With a press.... 9.4?

So.... what I'm discovering is..... these books actually survived the horrible conditions they were in. Some of these comics I'm pulling out are really high grade.

Trust me.... some of the bags are disgusting too
