  1. Is the sword on this cover supposed to be impaling Batman? I can't tell because the lines don't touch his skin.
  2. Marvel Value Stamps (bronze age marvels)
  3. I clipped over 100 MVSs when I was a kid . The funny thing is I was SO careful when I clipped them out (thinking that would make it better).
  4. I found the pic...... The problem with this cover is it encouraged people to cut open the cover.
  5. Interiors are black & white reprints with Portuguese translations. With a great variety of comics: Sub-Mariner, Superman, Human Torch, Vision, Steel Sterling, Black Hood, The Wizard & Roy, Espionage, etc.... The issues are quite thick and they are a hair bigger that US Golden age in height, but they still just barely fit into a GA bag/board.
  6. I've found a few with the exact same Soldiers back, but the Zodiac Ring offer seems to have a different shading on the Flash 123.
  7. I have a Flash 123 that's missing a back cover and I thought I'd search for another DC comic from the same month that has a common back cover. I found a couple that have the same outside image, but the inside image is slightly different. Anyone happen to know if F123 has a back cover match?
  8. Cool Brazilian comic I just bought. Awesome WWII War covers both front and back.
  9. I've been picking up some of these Brazilian comics. The covers are so colorful and unique. This one is doubly special because it has WWII Sub-Mariner on the front looking at a German U-Boat, and an awesome Superman WWII back cover. I believe that Superman back cover is unique to this issue too.... has anyone seen that art on a US comic?
  10. light foxing to covermoderate staple ruststamps top back covertears and missing pieces back cover The "light foxing" is visible in my photos and it's VERY light. The "Stamps" on the back cover..... I didn't really think that was something they graded down for, but I understand..... there's two stamps. The "tears and missing pieces" on back cover are all visible on my pic. The "moderate staple rust" is the one thing you couldn't see in the photo. I'm not sure I would have called it "moderate".... it's certainly not enough that it transferred to the pages. To me, it seems it's a somewhat common amount that you see in Silverage comics.
  11. Grade is in. 5.0. Pretty disappointed. At least it presents well.
  12. I'm VERY impressed with you guys. Comic is coming back as a 4.0 which is basically what everyone said.
  13. Yeah, I know...... as rare as Action 1 is, these might even be more rare. I'm going to keep my eye out out for them though. I was able to score these for only $5 a supplement, so I think it was a pretty good investment.
  14. So Action comics has 64 interior pages. I've been able to find 26 of the pages in Gazetinha. Plus 2 unique covers for Zatara and Pep Morgan. I still need to look thru the Tex Thomson & Scoop Scanlon & Marco Polo stories to see if I can match those up. These came out 6 months after Action 1 hit the stands here in the US. This basically is a "poor mans" Action Comics #1. I gotta find the Superman pages now.
  15. Now you can work on and perfect your Portuguese.
  16. Maybe they should create "Scratch & Sniff" Marvel Masterworks.
  17. You are right, I got the years wrong. 1st cover appearance of Zatara
  18. Looks like Superman started December 17th 1938 - Gazetinha #445 (this one is not mine, I pulled it off the internet)
  19. Here's an adaptation of the Action comics #9 cover Pep Morgan story (I didn't even know the Action comics 9 cover was Pep Morgan until I saw this , but it is)
  20. And the final page to Action Comics 1, the "Stardust" page is in.... Gazetinhas 456
  21. I also found most of the Action Comics 1 Sticky-Mitt Stimson story.... Gazetinha #s 449 450
  22. If you want the complete Action Comics 1 story of Pep Morgan they start in Dec of 1938...... Gazetinha #s 447, 450, 453
  23. If you want the complete Action Comics 1 story of Chuck Dawson they start in Dec of 1938...... Gazetinha #s 446, 449, 452, 455, 458
  24. So.... If you want the complete Action Comics 1 story of ZATARA they start in Dec of 1938...... Gazetinha #s 446, 449, 452, 455, 458, 461, 464, 467, 470, & 473 Each issue ran about 1-1/4 pages of the Zatara story from action 1 (which was a long story).
