  1. I'm not in it for the $, just need to move some books. I've updated the variant distribution ratio on the 220 set. 10% off what's left, they'll be pulled tomorrow for other venue(s)
  2. Spawn/Savage Dragon #1 - $150 Found it This book is in NM- condition with great cover gloss. Minor blunting on the spine corner and small tear (no measurement, it’s that small) on the back cover, upper left (pictured).
  3. I think so, I have a Spawn/Savage Dragon #1 somewhere but I can't find it for photos right now. If you want full sets of 100/150/200 variants we can talk offline
  4. Only if someone wanted everything, the book between yours and Hector's is still there so as long as you got what you wanted nothing was ruined
  5. That was fast! Sold. Sorry I didn't see this right away Hector George, you caught me fuddling through this new format between posts.
  6. That was fast! Sold. Sorry I didn't see this right away Hector, you caught me fuddling through this new format between posts.
  7. Spawn #220 Complete Set - $650 This is an exceptional set, I believe every one of these books is a slam dunk 9.8. I rarely ever give a book a NM/M grade (see above) let alone not even take them out of the bag for a front/back cover shot but I don’t even want to handle these out of the bag. I cannot even see any defects that don’t affect grade (at least according to CGC) such as bindery tears or off-centering. B&W Distribution Ratio: Savage Dragon Variant - 1:50 Youngblood Variant - 1:75 Ah Sh## Ruined Logo Variant - 1:100
  8. Spawn Black & White #189 - $350 SOLD Pretty much the same case as the B&W #1 here: NM+ condition with no significant or discernable defects. Sharp corners, good edges, lays flat with a smooth spine.
  9. Spawn #185 Headless Variant - $350 SOLD I’m giving this book an overall aggregate grade of NM. I believe the front cover is NM+ but the back cover has significant color rub, luckily none of that is present on the front. I’m guessing this book sat on the bottom of an unbagged/boarded pile on a flat surface at some point.
  10. Spawn Black & White #1 - $350 SOLD I believe this book to be in at least NM+ condition with no significant or discernable defects. Sharp corners, good edges, lays flat with a smooth spine.
  11. Some of the HTF Spawn variants in high grade condition. Some of these are sold so infrequently that it's hard to find sales data, especially on non graded examples. In these cases I've priced WAY below books currently for sale regardless of advertised grade. If I had more time and inclination (and money) I would ideally get every one of these signed/slabbed and squeeze every penny I could out of them, but I'd rather take less and hopefully complete a few sets out there while letting another owner decide if they want to let a pen/marker touch any of these. Should anyone want to see more photos of a particular angle or specific close up I'll post in the thread. 10% off if you claim the entire thread before anything is taken. is king and timestamp trumps any PM communications. It is the buyer's responsibility to post the in the thread after any PM communication to officially finalize the deal, any unconditional posted before that will be the winner regardless. Payment needs to be made via PayPal within 2 days of claim unless other arrangements are made. Feedback is here. No Probies, HOS members or anyone I have on ignore. Shipping will be fully insured with tracking, if you have your own insurance you’d like to use I’ll send you the required info at the time of shipping if you’d like to go that way.
  12. Great community member and it shows, look forward to doing business (and just talking comics) again.
  13. Well that was fast, if I'd known it would take so little time I'd have stayed up instead of going to bed and replied sooner. Thanks to DST for the pick-up, now I have to figure out how the hell this new format works.
  14. A near structurally perfect, white paged copy of John Romita's first work on Spidey graded at NM- Shipping includes Priority postage, delivery confirmation and full insurance for the purchase price of $1000 NO HOS OR PL MEMBERS First (or variation of I'll take it) posted in thread gets it, immediate payment via PayPal required unless other arrangements are made. I've been away quite a while, so long I'll have to go dumpster diving for my feedback thread to link. I don't see any kind of "preview" button to check and see if I loaded everything correctly so hopefully this works.
  15. Exceptional buyer, would not hesitate to sell to again. Someone that is actually serious about buying books in the desired condition with no sense of entitlement to get books at half of FMV for stated grade.
  16. Can't wait to see the Predator show up at Christmas, rescue a kidnapped secondary character (subsequently slaughtering her), bond with a younger, secondary male character (subsequently slaughtering him) all while self narrating his adventure via the distinctive clicking sound at altering speeds/octaves.
  17. Book is on fire. Be interesting to see if a Daken rumor/confirmation would affect WO #10 the same way especially considering the multiple versions. Hard not to imagine the RRP 3rd Claw variant making a similar jump as NYX #3 in price-for-grade, but the affect on the standard cover vs. variant cover pricing would make for compelling debate.

  19. To start, big thanks to Marc (HouseofComics) for his phone calls this week to redirect me to my derelict responsibilities (politely), can’t wait to see you at SVC in March. 2015 ended rather rough and 2016 has gotten off to an inauspicious beginning to be sure. Apologies to Gatchaman and THB for leaving you guys hanging on our last communication, I hope we can pick it back up but I’ll understand if that ship has sailed. Biggest apology goes to Spracks919 for his books being caught in the limbo of our circumstances for over a month and I’ve PM’d the details to you. To keep this somewhat brief, I’ll touch on the largest difficulties amongst the myriad of the end of last year and beginning of this has dropped on us: The 1:30am phone call on Thursday the 12th from my dad to say he was taking mom to the ER due to severe pains and elevated pulse/BP: that one turned into emergency surgery to have her gall bladder removed. My dad had is appendix out earlier during 2015, he said they’re just jettisoning spare parts they don’t need (old people are funny). A trip to the ER for my cousin’s wife going into labor prematurely with their second child, they live relatively close (1/2 hour drive) but that necessitated a lot of time away from home and overnight stays watching his older daughter and keeping him company at the hospital and at home. Multiple trips to San Diego (it’s lovely this time of year) to see my best friend’s family because of: 1) His wife and her multiple trips to the ER which turned out to be kidney stones as well as a cyst growing on her lady parts, both of which have required multiple procedures, she may also be on the docket to have her gall bladder out (seems to be the theme for 2016). And 2) his infant son who also had to have surgery to take care of a birth abnormality. Being God parents is the greatest honor/burden to bestow upon those whom you are closest. And the cu de gras: and ER trip for my wife (Happy New Year!) followed by not one, but two bouts with the flu (as of yet, I have avoided the bug but I feel like my time is coming). Ultimately everyone is fine and we are finally home now for the foreseeable future without need for any unexpected travel or emergencies but all of this has caused us to be away an extraordinary amount. I finally returned to the work this week and spent three days just going through 1400 unread emails (about 800 which were completely unrelated to work). I haven’t even logged into the boards since the middle of December as that is something done regularly while at work in its own browser in the background, you know, because professionalism. Despite all that has happened, Spracks919 is technically correct in his nomination so if he would like to proceed I won’t fight it because this had nothing to do with him directly and ultimately the responsibility falls on me for the lack of communication. I dropped his books in the mail the day following my last message which is where the deal gets hairy because it was returned for “insufficient postage” during our absence. This of course is a scam that has happened to me twice before over a few years by the PO where I live, they say a package is slightly above the weight entered for online ordering to squeeze more postage out of the sender. t was too big to be left in the drop box (we live in an apartment complex) so one of the notices was left saying we had an item to pick up at the local PO which I did not find in the pile of mail that had accumulated over the month until Marc called me earlier this week to inform me of what was transpiring. In my mind the books had been delivered and it did not occur to me that I had any unfinished business to be concerned with. I have offered Spracks919 an immediate full refund or to resend them expedited shipping due to the massive delay, but as stated above, if he still wants to proceed with this his assertion and reason for doing so is (unfortunately) not wrong.
  20. Immediate payment after claim, great conversation. He (and his money ) are always welcome in any of my threads.
  21. What really sucks is that it looks like a really nice copy, instead of having it graded he added a completely superfluous signature to it. I don't mind Stan sigs on modern copies of ASM, FF, UXM etc because he had direct involvement with the creation of the original titles, but it drives me out of my mind when I see his autograph on books like this that he had nothing to do with in the creation of the principle character. Even more disappointing is you see a Hulk 181 with a Stan sig actually sells for more than one with a Herb or Len sig. They've probably been like this for a while, but I also just noticed the fool with the three ungraded Wolverine #1's that fluctuate between $2600 - $3300 in BIN price has added an unverified Stan sig to each one.
