  1. DEADPOOL LOT (12 Total Comics) – $100 SOLD Merc with a Mouth #1 – 9 including #1 Heisman Variant and #68 & #69 of the “ongoing” series.
  2. DARDEVIL & DAREDEVIL RELATED Lot (61 Total Comics) – $300 SOLD Big chunk of the Miller run with all the keys as well as the complete Lady Bullseye run and Elektra books from the 90’s
  3. Selling almost all of my collection, each set will be grouped by title and the larger runs broken up into more manageable lots to keep package weight & postage reasonable. Shipping is included in the list price for all claims within the U.S., all international claims will be listed price plus the actual cost of postage via USPS International Priority Mail. THE RULES (these will be enforced and adhered to whether you read them or not, so . . . maybe read them ) Questions are welcome except those offering lower than posted prices or asking me to break up a lot or mix/match books between lots. I’ve given general grades to each book but not overly scrutinized them so if you’d like to see closer shots or a particular angle of a specific book or know I’ll post here in the thread for everyone to have a look. Books with an * next to them indicates a book in structurally better shape than the listed grade but I have lowered significantly due to some degree of foxing or moisture damage, books in bold indicate a newsstand edition with the UPC barcode on the front cover (when there are multiple copies of a single issue in bold that means at least one of them is a newsstand, if not all). is king and timestamp trumps any PM communications. It is the buyer's responsibility to post the in the thread after any PM communication to officially finalize the deal, any unconditional posted before that will be the winner regardless. Payment needs to be made via PayPal within 2 days of claim unless other arrangements are made (ignoring and/or not reading messages will not extend the time) Feedback is here. No Probies, HOS members or anyone I have on ignore.
  4. This is an angle I had not considered and probably holds more weight than my first impression. Initially I thought they were simply copying the GotG formula, going more with the jokes/comedy and heavy dose of throwback feel with the music/title graphics/vivid colors etc as it is the only other iteration taking place principally off-earth. Not to mention the 'team' aspect they're throwing together. Also makes sense as a logical lead in to finally get at least one of the infinity stones into Thanos' hands.
  5. Apparently this book is back on the market until the conclusion of this thread tonight, it falls under the current discount/free shipping format
  6. Last for this thread, it will be closed end of week and what remains will go to another venue for selling. I'll post another in the Mixed forum with longer sets/runs grouped by title. Many thanks to those that have bought so far and continue to help with this disaster, I'll give some kind of update where we stand with total $ donated after we put a bow on this.
  7. A credit to the community, exceptional communication & follow through. Would be happy to business with again.

  9. Not at all what I'm talking about, it was actually very complimentary to you about everything you were admitting. Referencing other members politely pointing things out as well as you talking about how you were lobbing personal insults and intentionally trying to make me angry while simultaneously talking about how you felt you were being treated in a hostile manner. It was incredibly self-aware and contrite and you were quite appreciative of the input from others. This is why
  10. Genuinely surprising (in the best possible way) considering how this started and the trajectory it took. I should have responded sooner but every time I tried it was extraordinarily difficult not to take what could be construed as a hostile or condescending tone no matter how factually accurate, and the highlighted portion of self-realization above perfectly embodies why I continually relented as I felt it was only going to further inflame the matter. I'm not saying that was the right thing to do but it is what I did. Had I not, I don't know we would have gotten here, and if we still would have I think it would have taken a lot longer than it did. With all that in mind I purposely kept it to the PM's in an attempt to facilitate diffusion and quell the potential for public fervor that would further feed into the animosity. Unfortunately even my attempt to rise above it and allow an opportunity to walk this back out of the virtual arena of a public contest failed. I fell right into the trap of the venomous tone I told myself I was too good to get sucked into, essentially threatening exposure with all the eloquence of a drunken frat boy. Pair that with the fact that whatever I message was sent invariably ended up in the public view I knew I'd be incapable of maintaining etiquette and objectivity and ultimately sacrifice reasonable responses for the satisfaction of the visceral take down. An early draft of a reply had a biting exposition to what the "P" in "PM" stood for and how the poster had convinced himself that word somehow had a different definition to him than literally anyone else, EVER (because clearly such comments would have elevated the discourse ). Again, we have not discussed this privately (no pun intended and the irony of me using this word based on my previous sentence is not lost on me), but this portion is shocking to me because it eerily involves almost every point I would have hit on in any retort so I am ultimately pleased I restrained myself. I also held confidence in the community to notice many of these inconsistencies whether they commented publicly or not, and this reference belies that confidence to help swing appropriate temperament even in emotional exchanges. This is not to pass off any responsibility but I think I've been pretty clear thus far why I avoided this. I'll give an better exposition maybe tomorrow or Friday now that I know I can put all this in a retrospective narrative rather than one of accusatory justification or retaliatory personal insults.
  11. If you have never put in any thought as to how you would react in an emergency whether it directly affects you, your neighbor, someone you know well, a stranger you never met, near or far, you need to do it and you need to do it today. If you don’t have a go bag, have not figured out what you would grab in the event you must leave your home or where these items are, you need to do it and you need to do it today. If you have not backed up any important or irreplaceable documents/records/photos/videos and created a flash drive/removable media/device you can grab on your way out the door, you need to do it and you need to do it today. I work nights so I have weird message board hours as evidenced by when I post things and am able to read/respond to messages. This availability has been rendered even more scarce this month with the extraordinary disaster taking place in the North Bay Area. This hits especially close to home for me as both my parents grew up in, met, graduated and got married (49 years ago next May) in Sonoma, and we still have many in-laws, family friends and co-workers in both affected areas. As I write this, the smallest of those fires is now at 45% contained with the other major 3 over 50% so it is just finally starting to be controlled in Napa and Sonoma County, but mandatory evacuations are now in effect for the ‘Bear Wildfire’ taking place in the Santa Cruz mountains just South of the Silicon Valley so a new disaster is potentially brewing. Although a vast improvement from this time last week at the height of the fury, the air quality continues to be an issue for everyone whether in the path of flames or a distant spectator. My wife and I are very fortunate that we do not live in an immediate area and were not subject to evacuation, requiring rescue or forced to a shelter, but despite living 40 miles south from the epicenter this is what it looks like outside my front door today (those aren't clouds obscuring the hillside): This is what it looked like as I was driving a week ago when I could see the sun perfectly through the poison lingering in the air with no eye protection: And this is what just the front corner of the living room in our 1-bedroom apartment looks like: I have no idea what 80% of this is or who it belongs to (the comic boxes at the top are mine). As the last shelter closed yesterday many were allowed to return to their homes if they still exist, the rest have nowhere called ‘home’ to go. So this is what we ended up with, a place for friends of friends to leave whatever items they had the time, ability and wherewithal to grab on the way out of their house without knowing if they would ever come back through the door. I have put only 4000 miles on my car I’ve own since February, nearly 1000 of that coming just in the last six days delivering supplies, personal items and displaced residents to the homes of loved ones and complete strangers gracious enough to offer more than a cot and a sleeping bag inside a high school gym to someone that literally has nothing but the clothes on their bodies, and perhaps one of these items in my (and many other peoples) living room. Because of this I've done a poor job managing my time while working such rough hours during the night and devoting so much of my days to the road. As much as it pails in comparison to what is truly important I've let my threads lapse and made my customers that have communicated appropriately, paid in a timely manner and/or adhered to the rules suffer. It's now time to take care of everyone and get things moving again here to help those in a much worse position than we. Everything remaining in this thread is now 10% off whatever the posted price and shipping will be included for any orders inside the U.S. I don’t have a percentage in mind to donate because I don’t know what else may end up selling. Although every little bit helps, if I say 50% and I only sell a $30 book I’ll barely be capable of justifying putting pen to paper to myself, and if everything were to sell I may just donate all of it, I don’t know yet because we are still not close to a resolution to this disaster. If there isn’t anything you want here I would implore you to go to either of the sites below and give what you can. This has all but paralyzed the Bay Area, and despite what I’ve seen some cynical news outlets reporting, this was not only huge estate wineries or multi-million mansions destroyed. These are largely rural areas, the type of communities with no paved sidewalks, no fences between properties and a two lane road in and out of the neighborhood with a culvert on the side for drainage. www.napavalleycf.org www.sonomacf.org
