  1. I think we should start discussing Astoundings. Just checked the thread. ...Not a bad idea! I see several other have picked up on it for a few posts, so I'll join in. This is the perfect kick-off for my Astounding collection...
  2. Wow! That run is awesome, ALL SELECTable and delectable. Speaking of which, I've got a few show-offish friends that just came back dressed to the nines...
  3. Nothing signed, but just back, slabtastic and dressed to the "nines" ...
  4. Thanks guys! I'm still seriously thinking about putting together a Gernsback run (Apr. '26 - Apr. '29). Unfortunately, sources for high quality Amazings at reasonable prices are drying up, but occasionally pretty copies do pop-up on ebay. When you guys start discussing Astoundings I'll post my images of those (mostly Campbell edited years); I'm much closer to a run of those.
  5. And finally, another beautiful copy of the September '28 Amazing (with H.P. Lovecraft's The Color Out of Space) ...
  6. I guess it's about time that I contributed something more visually exciting to this thread than admiration for the rare Gernsback Amazing images that my fellow collectors have been posting. Here then, are mine... And now individually...
  7. Nice snags, Annihilus! I've always liked Paul's work on those Martian war machines. (thumbs u
  8. Congratulations! Absolute winners! Beautiful Foxes that are tough in those grades. Oh, and BTW, your Phantom Lady #13 is tied for highest census...
  9. ...Is that sort of like like being caught between Bedrock and a hard place or what? BTW, beautiful book, Brian!
  10. Nice picks, feller! BTW, do you think that Cap 19 might be an undocumented Rockford copy? That "S" looks kinda familiar.
  11. (thumbs u Colorful Paul art and the only issue of Amazing sporting a Buck Rogers cover. Nowlan's first Roger's story (August '28) isn't cover featured, but the anti-grav cover on that earlier book is killer. If memory serves, this issue was next to last Gernsback edited Amazing. I have a nice copy of the March '29 issue in my collection and will eventually get around to scanning some images.
