  1. The swastika was an interesting choice for a doodle.
  2. I was fortunate to be there to witness the 1631st post as it happened. I'll never forget the epic brilliance and majesty of that post standing alone representing the entirety of the thread. I guess it's so fresh in my mind that I still get tingly when I think of it.
  3. While I like the idea, someone falsifying a rating would compromise any value of having a rating scale in the first place. An advantage to the "turmoil and effort" is often a problem can be resolved through soliciting public(board) opinion and I've seen more instances of dispute related to weaknesses in communication from one or both parties more so than any outright chicanery.
  4. There's Captain Hero & Captain Huffenpuff (Uncle Captain) from Beany & Cecil Of course Cap'n Crunch should be included, too.
  5. Only thing I can offer is that Mr. Gaines title/credit changed from "Publisher" to "Founder" in Mad #315. Not sure about Al Feldstein.
  6. This later thread (2009) had some well thought out ideas/opinions on the start of the BA. So What Are We Talking About When We Talk About The Bronze Age?
  7. I had a couple PM's that I'd read, then I was away from the site for 2-3 days and upon return those messages showed "unread". I enjoy reading the same thing over and over, so no harm done really.
  8. Some books just arrived. Great packaging and prompt shipping. Books all as described. ChiSoxFan even took time to get me photos of a particular book I requested. Would definitely buy from him in the future.
  9. Please add to my "pile" - Power Man #29 -- VG -- 4.0 -- $2 Marvel Premiere #10 --Death of the Ancient One -- F- -- 5.5 -- $5 Nick Fury, Agent of Shield #9 -- VG -- 4.0 -- $4

  12. The date stamp that the buyer wasn't aware of if he was claiming it was a different book?
  13. It's a great read, but I don't think it will be king once the dust settles. I'd believe that will be a book featuring a character tied to a larger universe. BA #12 or some variant cover? Not sure, but I don't see new readers/collectors jumping onto WD at this point.
