Chew, Goon, and Fear Agent (obviously there are others) also have 3 - 4 seasons of potential plots already half written for TV shows. I don't understand the economics of Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. (and my friend who is in the industry and creates TV shows has a hard time grasping how the numbers work as well)... the joke about how amazing it was that 30 million people watched Bird Box.. on 12 Netflix accounts... (apparently it was watched on 45 million Netflix accounts, but not everybody finished it... I am shocked there are that many). Anyway, I am new to that world of TV. HATED watching anything on our laptop. Finally got an internet capable TV this summer (had a 17 year old TV) and the options are amazing. Just don't have the time to watch the stuff I would like to watch. Maybe have 90 minutes a night of vegging out in me.

Don't forget Millarworld was purchased by Netflix.  Jupiter's Legacy, Huck and a few others are in the pipline.  Plus the 2 new series he developed specifically to make for netflix.

Looks like heritage is eyeing up this market...

    "

Special announcement, Heritage has launched a new initiative,
    TCG, Magic, Pokemon
    Cards and Art!
Our European Sale is also accepting consignments NOW
    Contact us for further details

We shall see, there has always been community resistance to selling on Heritage.  Maybe the Sharazzad finish opened up some eyes?

Since Comicartfans is concentrated on art from comic books the main categories refer to comic book/strip art. But Bill doesn't limit the type of art posted so the Other category was created for the non-comic art and stuff their just doesn't fit in those.

Thanks, I didn't know if it has changed since you guys took over ix as well.

The real question should be regarding "Removing Art from CAF too LATE".

Like if you sold a piece in 2008 and it's still sitting there on your CAF confusing the hell out of people that see it in two (or more depending on the apathy of subsequent owners towards proper CAF inventory maintenance) galleries simultaneously.

I have about half a dozen pages in my collection that are currently on CAF still in the old owner's collection in their active folders.  It's not the biggest deal in the world.

After a few decent results with HA, I'm not sure I can justify the fees moving forward. Lopping off almost 40% from what the buyer handed over isn't offset by the great marketing and nice website.

And these days, I think most of the same buyers have eyes on Comic Link, ComicConnect, and even ebay*. So maybe the marketing is kind of a wash.

*ebay caps their seller's fees at $750. So >$7500 pieces that will get good word of mouth regardless might be better off there?

My concern about eBay would be more about getting scammed.  I envision a nightmare scenario where I send the art, they claim it's fake, send it back, get a refund and I'm returned a crayon picture.  And eBay well almost always side with the buyer.

The most expensive thing I've ever sold in eBay was $4k and I was scared through the whole process.

In the spirit of this thread, anybody watching the newest, 3rd season of Daredevil on Netflix?  Good stuff.  Price on my Miller DD 171 cover just went up.  Adjust offers accordingly.*

    :roflmao:

*just kidding folks, it's not for sale.

Sorry, this doesn't qualify, he never wore a costume all of season 3.  Only out of costume pages have gone up in value.

I've heard that an upcoming film or television project can bump up the value of old comics, at least on a temporary basis, but is this true of OA? The CW shows didn't seem to do much for the art featuring their respective heroes...or did it? I don't remember a bump, but I follow those markets very loosely.

The only examples I can think of where there is a direct line is infinity gauntlet and walking dead.

I don't think tv and movies moved the needle much for other stuff.
