  1. Seems to me that this particular point is being overplayed. If I have someone on ignore, it's because I find them so annoying that I simply don't want to hear them speak, speak to them, or deal with them whatsoever. It's not like I have some deep seeded feeling that I must keep a book I once owned out of their hands. Is that really what "ignore" means to you all? If I'm selling a book, Boardie A buys it, and after they receive it from me they hand it to Boardie B (who I have on ignore), why should I care? My purpose for ignoring Boardie B was fully served...that is, I didn't have to interact with them. It's not exactly like it's an action 1 9.0 and you have no choice but to deal with the seller no matter how reprehensible you find him. Where is your dignity MAN!! It's a modern book and eventually another one will pop up and probably cheaper. You should also apply that logic to sellers that insta-drop their ignore on people when there's a few extra bucks to be made. If they are on ignore have some DIGNITY man leave them there. I suppose you say right... I'm not sure what that means.... I guess you've never seen "In the Heat of the Night"

  3. Um, not really. It's a 9.8 newsstand edition. I've only seen two of them in two years. They're not exactly all over the place for sale.

  7. I suppose that eventualy you'll sell something I'm interesting in and I'll have to take you off ignore. awwwwwwwwwwwwww how nice a unified interest can make friends of anyone.

  9. Buy your own books. Be quick with the Know a good deal when you see it. Take a good deal when you know it. Pay immediately while you still can. Ask the same question of the same person three times and make sure the answers you get match. If there's a teeny tiny gap in the storyline, close it, or watch people leap through it. Don't care about comics or money so much that you get angry or do something you probably shouldn't in the heat of passion (or commerce). It's funny that you delineate exactly what Harveyswick and Junkdrawer did wrong yet you admonish Spectre.
  10. At this point shouldn't you just keep a list of people who you WILL deal with? It would probably be shorter/easier You made the list. Congrats.
  11. Junk says"I did just notice the thread after it had sold. At one time I was looking to pay $2500 for one. I have never seen one, this is the first. The BIN price seemed fair." So he is willing to pay the $1,900. Guy offered you the book for $1,625 or something and you did not accept the offer but instead decided to go the combo deal route which to me was trying to lowball the situation. Why not just buy the book for Junk for $1,625 when he offered it or even $1,750 which was his first offer. Both were much lower then the amount Junk was willing to spend. You are CLEARLY missing the point and I'll just give you the benefit of the doubt and hope that you didn't read everything because the alternative is I PMed Spectre for Junkdrawer as Spectre had Junkdrawer on Ignore. Spectre chased me with counteroffers after MY initial offer was rejected. Spectre realized that he COULD get more for the book, not DID get more. Spectre renegged on his own offer citing a lame "sold via PM" Junkdrawer thought Spectre was full of mess and posted in the sales thread "whoever bought this book, please contact me and I'll buy it." Spectre immediately unignored Junkdrawer and PMed him saying the book was still available. It wasn't hours later. It was immediately. Junkdrawer baited him with higher offers. If he just offered $1,625 don't you think Spectre would have rejected that offer. Junkdrawer waved lots of $$$ in front of him to see how he would respond. Why would Junkdrawer really say he would pay $2,500 and that $1,900 was a fair offer? We both thought it was high and he TOLD me to offer $1,500. You REALLY believe there is another buyer? Where are they? Sounds to me like you guys were playing him.
  12. I use current size only for moderns with 22pt boards(halfbacks). They're too tight to fit fullbacks and comics into them. They are rigid enough to withstand a drop of about two to three feet from my experience, I mean it's no garantee but they are infinitely better than standard bags at surviving an impact on the corners. Anything of value goes into standard with fullback for moderns.
  13. You mean like their China show? http://www.twoamericansinchina.com/2015/05/the-big-con-nightmare-guangzhou-comic-con.html They moved the venue to a tent and many people were stuck outside inline in the heat hours past the open because they wouldn't let people in until others left. ...and it gets better People in china are into comics and they have discretionary income to attend comic cons....
  14. Mylites2s are great for clumsy people. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped books and had the corners crunched up. With Mylites2 because of their welded edges it prevents the book(if placed in correct sized mylar) from getting too near the edge which coincidently or not protects the book against corner dings should you drop the book in a mylite2.
