  1. Some scans of the key books in that Swamp Thing lot and some high grade copies. This 31 is probably the best of the lot, looks like a solid 9.4 with a slightest shot at 9.6
  2. +1. Where did you score that? I'm not a DC guy, other than Vertigo, but at $20, I couldn't pass up on Constantine's first appearance and Alan Moore's first Swamp Thing. This is water, would you believe me if I told you, craigslist. Craigslist I'm still here.

  4. An Alan Moore Saga of Swamp Thing lot #'s 20-40, 53-54, anns 1-2, Roots of the Swamp Thing 1-5,$20 bucks! VF/NM to NM for most with 4-5 below, but the 20/21/37 appear VF/NM or better.
  5. That's the recommended interval for re-encapsulation by CGC, but the theoretically, the chemicals in the plastic remain inert for decades and the pieces of acid buffering paper(micro chamber paper) that they put in between the front cover and the first page and the back cover and the last page continues to absorb acids long after 7 years. For the micro chamber paper, mschmidt did a acidity test on paper that had remained in a slab since 2003 and after testing continued to have the same alkaline ph level, I interpreted that to mean that the MCP was still buffering long after the 7 year period. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4534727&fpart=1 When you look at the independent test that BCW supplies undertook, you can see that the gerber backing boards with the 3% acid buffering continue to remain alkaline long after the 20 year aging test, I think it's safe to say that the micro chamber paper can probably achieve similar result. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=232048&Number=5040563#Post5040563

    ft88

Long overdue praise for ft88, bought some Silver ASM books from him and was very pleased by the condition and PQ, I would not hesitate to purchase books from him again.
  7. Yeah, there are a lot of us ASM collectors around here with very similar runs to fill. Also a lot of competition in the sales forum from decently priced books pop up, here you hit the or you are SOL.
  8. I've already posted this photo in at least 3 other threads, but what the heck, it fits the criteria. Bought these from ft88 and they are great looking books with great PQ.
  9. I've seen a lot of zombie movies, and I gotta say that there is nothing that has been done that compares in style, acting, drama, make-up to The Walking Dead. I often jokingly say that most realistic zombie movies are the comedies, the ones that don't take themselves seriously, Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, but this is by far the most realistic representation of the zombie genre I've ever seen. You have actors that have been in movies that have been nominated and won oscars, tv shows that have won emmys, I really don't see were we have seen a zombie movie/show with this caliber of actors. You don't hear people complain about how awful Andrew Lincolns(rick grimes) american accent is, as a matter of fact, I believe that most people probably don't even realize that Andrew Lincoln is English. Now, that's good acting. The plots, the scenes, the make-up, it's all very realistic and believable to me. I hardly ever find myself shaking my head and questioning whether a scene or situation is believable as occurs with many other zombie representations in other movies. Beyond not questioning the realism of the show when you can find yourself watching something over and over and over again, then you have something special. I love this show, I hope it runs for many seasons. It's a shame that AMC had to cannibalize The Walking Dead budget to sign Matt Weiner to a 25mil-30mil deal and to keep The Killing alive. AMC cut the budget for season 2 from 3.4 million to 2.75 million per episode. I just hope AMC realizes what a gem it has and doesn't cannibalize the budget to cut back any more.
  10. Although I've become resigned to the fact that it's unlikely that I'll ever own an Amazing Spider-man #1, I figured that a GRR was not beyond my means. The book presents well and could very well have been a VF but for one small detail (see image below). The spine and the edges are in amazing shape. Picked this up on eBay. Awesome book, but one caveat.
  11. Received my second purchase from lonetree the other day, another pleasant transaction, fast shipping and great packing. And to show what a fast shipper he is, he had the package shipped out before the bank tapped my account for the funds.
  12. Nice pick ups, I'm still enjoying the undercopies you sold me. Unbeknownst to you, since picking up these two copies I went on a mini SA ASM buying splurge. These were my first SA books and I'm currently at 21. I'm a Silver Age collector now!!!
  13. Bought some ASM slabs from Brian, and I'm a very delighted and satisfied customer. Fast secure shipping. I would not hesitate to do business with him again.
  14. Bought some books from AndyBoBo, Fast shipper and and secure packaging, oh, and a great deal!!! Thanks again, Chris
  15. Got my books from Mark, good stuff!!! I see becoming a recurring customer.
  16. Purchased a lot of bronze/copper x-men. Books were well packed in and oversized box sandwiched between cardboard and wrapped in bubble wrap surrounded by crumpled newspaper, yet, the box looked like it had been used by USPS to kick around. Would buy from Zuckuss again. Thanks.
  17. Simple and smooth transaction, even credited me back a buc from the quoted shipping when he saw he could save by shipping priority mail. Shipped secure and quickly. Purchased some Bronze ASM from his 2 buc thread. 2 BUCS A POP!!! 'NOUGH SAID!!!
