I would like to add Menace to the Probation thread.

I had purchased a Scottie Young SS 9.8 from his pre sales thread. He sent me a mislabeled 9.6. The top sticker was a 9.8 but the front label was a 9.6. I mailed the book back to him 7/26/13. He told me he received the returned book back. I have asked for refunds or another 9.8 to replace this book. I emailed him at the email he gave in the SS forum yesterday again with no response. I am also in the Medina opp he has out and have not had an update in 6 months or so. I am also requesting a refund for this opp. Please add him to the prob list. Way past 30 days. Facilitators should be held at higher standards. His being away from the boards for too much travel is no excuse anymore.

Been on the road most of the past three weeks. Flying out to St. Louis today. Long tour this year it seems.

Hopefully have some special news for boardies after St. Louie!

Picked up a few of these I got lucky and found them on an online retailer. I hope there in good shape.

Already posted this pic in the Sig Room (where I used to hide out ) but I figured you guys might like to see it too.

A friend asked me to mess up some comics and make them look like they were actually from a Zombie Apocalypse. So I had a bunch of these WD #100 books here and I thought I would use one of them I liked it so much I made a second one. I call it 'Zombification'

Gonna get these signed and Signature Series... I would guess .5 ? Is there a .0 ?

I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for the comics you signed and sent out and thank you for the awesome personalized poster you sent out to one of the bordies.

I know I'm new to these boards so my words probably don't carry much clout but I just wanted to say that.

 

I think it's awesome you find time to come on here and talk with us. Your actions have made me respect image more as a company and the type of people they employ.

 

We don't have a lot of extra cash for comics each month but what we do have, me and the family have been spending most of it on image books! You guys really see doing an amazing job!

As much as you kid this was going to be a goal after my sale.

One of the reasons I kept a wait list was to demonstrate the ability to sell books, promote books and in turn raise money for charities. Which we did and that is good. The end result will be good as well.

The people complaining about this more than likely had already had plans to get their books from other people flipping the books the day of the show.

 

Or they just thought the whole deal was in poor taste.

 

You know, like our friendly neighborhood Image comics publisher, Eric Stephenson.

Can't speak for anyone but me but I believe it was all the complaints... and those complaints might have originated in the place that the books were offered.

For those PM'ing me I will not be selling this book in any way. It comes down to who I am and I wont do it. Pay the other members advertising here with their sales.

I'm not at the Portland show - I'll be in London where I have a show exclusive.

 

I was just stating that someone will probably have the book up for sale when they get there.

And I have three of my own Portland Comic Con exclusives... prints by various studio artists. Nothing as cool as the NWM comic but hey maybe next time.

Sorry guys I'm still handling 400-600 books over the next two weeks for CGC SS and two additional charity signings. I already lost a full day and I leave Thr. I won't be commenting further.

Sorry about all this guys, this is not what I intended. I think its fruitless to argue with one another about it. I take responsibility for setting this up it came form a good place but I will have to accept the consequences for it.

Given the opportunity to do what I would have liked, I would have canceled this due to the trouble it caused for the CBLDF and for ES. I would have completed it if there was no objections just because of a commitment to get the books for everyone.

However this is not going to be the case. It has been requested that the deal be terminated and I have think it is best to abide by the decision.
